My sabers arrived. Really impressed with the Dark Prophecy I ordered in AS. Adding a yellow and an orange colour disc provides a lovely golden yellow. Maybe on the weekend I'll have time to play with all of those filter swatch packs, but I'm over it for now just paying with the colour discs.
My Grab bag saber was a Dark Liberator. This was also in AS with colour disks, so that one is now a very nice orange at present.
My free initiate was a v3 in CG, and with a blue tipped button instead of the usual silver.
I'm so happy with how the order turned out, and big thanks to US for fulfilling my order request.

My guess for richmbailey is the Omen electroplated brass in hot pink.
I'm not into pink but that would be pretty slick... Especially if they'd start electroplating.
Gave me an idea for the "what we'd like to see..." thread.

My grab bag saber arrived today. Below are some quick picks of my Initiate V2 CE (Blazing Red). I will probably customize this one as well as my Initiate V3. Added three O-rings at the top just to see if I like it. Need to decide how to customize since this is not an MHS hilt. Any tips would be appreciated. Nice sabers, I'm a fan of the O-rings myself. I like the feel of the V2 sabers for my hands (I have an Initiate V3 and V2). I've been working on customizing mine and want to do a shroud-like thing, discovered that certain sizes of plumbing pipe from Lowes is just a tiny bit too small. Mine is going to go about 2/3rds of the way around so I think it'll fit snuggly to the larger portions of the hilt. Either going to drill & tap to hold it on with 2 small screws or JB and clamp it tightly for a day or two. Gonna add a D-ring from the framing section of a craft store and a couple of thumb screws, weather it all and hope for the best. Hope those ideas are useful, good luck! |

Thanks for the ideas. I read a few other customizations for the Aeon online, and have some good ideas, using both #17 and #18 O-Rings and other parts from the hardware store. Still need to come up with an idea for the pommel since it's an odd threading size. I'll be shopping for some supplies tomorrow and hopefully start the process.  |
