At the time i ordered, it was when two offers overlapped; 15% off sabers with sound, and a free grab bag premium/v3/v4 saber for orders over $400 Mine came to over the $400 mark, especially as i asked for a kill key and recharge port  In the end, i won't be keeping the grab bag, a dominix v3 in BR is perfect for the person i have in mind, so i can get her a saber without it costing me anything extra, we both win! |

A kill key sits in the recharge port and interrupts the electrical connection, so no power can be consumed by the soundboard in its dormant state or by an always-on AV switch. The soundboard doesn't really draw enough to bother worrying about, so usually the kill key is kinda pointless, but as i wanted to be able to turn off the av switch without using any of my emerald driver channels, i got a kill key.
The problem with a kill key is that it means that when your saber is on charge, it still acts as if it's got a kill key in the port. Therefore you can't keep it lit as a display piece, or have your av switch lit if you keep your hilt on the mantlepiece.
With or without the kill key though, i'd definitely recommend a recharge port, so much easier that taking the batteries out every time!

Thanks for the info. So, I got a grab bag ordered. It hasn't shipped yet though. So, am I the only one who noticed this?  That saber in the middle, the Darth Vader one, that's not The Chosen One. Look at the little box. It doesn't have an AV button like The Chosen One does. If I'm not mistaken, isn't that a modded Force FX? |
