Alright so I watched episode 16. Gotta say, it's not my cup of tea but it's a lot better than some of the stuff out there. I think I understand a bit more where you are all coming from now.
Too bad you didn't like it, but good to know it helped you understand us better  BTW, the episode that seems to be the most effective to enlighten people(or outright convert them) to me is episode 3 of the second season. Insane Twilight is just that good at destroying the whole "this is a boring little girl's show" view XD   |

On a largely unrelated note, I am undertaking the task of writing a lengthy essay on the appeal of MLP (mostly for my friends [and family, if they care enough to read it]). It's almost 3:00 AM (yes, I believe I still have the wrong time zone on here  ) and I'm only on my third page.... no sleep tonight  |

Having seen comparison pics earlier today, I must say that I do believe it was a reference. Same with the fight scene in A Canterlot Wedding, Part 2 (Mane 6 vs. Changelings) as a Matrix Reloaded reference.... I didn't see it at first, but after seeing it again and reading speculation about it I definitely think it was. |

Makashi: To the best of my knowledge, every individual episode is up on YouTube in glorious 1080p; all you have to do is search for the show name, the season number (1-2), and the episode number (1-26 per season). What I am not sure about is how they got it in 1080p when the HD official download is only in 720.

Huzzah! The essay is complete! 7 pages in a Word document - I was writing it by hand for a while until I had access to a computer, but with handwriting it was up to 8 pages and only 2/3 complete. @Starswirl I'll see about PMing it at some point, hopefully today if I'm not too busy. This might be my last time on the forum for today, though. Anyone know where I can watch the show online?
I watched every episode on Youtube (in 1080p). After a bit you'll figure out the best channels and whatnot. |

LOL, I never really thought about it that way, but yeah that is TOTALLY a Rapidash. Considering the tons of references they throw at us, yeah it was definetely on purpose. I am glad you have heard mostly from the courteous majority of us who enjoy the show - there are certainly a few out there who are pushy enough to turn some people away; just as there are "haters" who are so vehement in their dislike that they disrupt the flow of comment threads and such.
Darth Rifter: Indeed it is! It is one of the fastest-growing threads I have seen. I wonder if Commander User knew how it would turn out when he started it...

Commander Bluespike; the permission really isn't ours to give (at least, in most cases) but belongs rather to the creator of the artwork (in this case, the great artist "I have no idea who you are"). So, unless the poster drew the picture (which from what I have seen is unlikely but possible) - you can use it! I wish you the best of luck in your return to your computer at Home!

To be honest, I had no idea this thread would get to 70+ replies nearly this quickly. I don't think I've ever seen a thread grow this swiftly. Tonight I'll do some tweaking on the essay to make it more generic (it was written with specific questions from friends in mind) and then I'll send it to whoever wants it ASAP. So I checked and nobody on here has the username Luna.... I'm going to request for a change of username |
