Ugh, I hate those types. My friends do mock me once in a while, but since I know a lot of dark secrets about them, they usually keep it in the playful, "bro mocking" level. Other people don't really have much opening for it, since I'm the reclusive type and usually hide my powerlevel. But if anyone ever calls me or a brony friend of mine furry... Let's just say I'd make the most brutal Sith Lords look like sweet little schoolgirls.

Kinda mad.

I wore my brony, not furry Wonderbolts hoodie to improv where my friends don't judge. I discovered a new fellow brony there, and he liked my hoodie. I put up the hood to show it off, and a freshmen improv guy said with disgust in his voice, "furry".

First I am mad, being called that, when it was a brony item. Second, he said it with hate and disgust, and i knew what he was thinking. It just made me mad that people are stuck thinking the awful stereotypes for various things.

Even if you were a furry, that wouldn't excuse the guy's behavior. I tend to disregard the opinions of people like that simply because they don't even know how to treat other humans correctly. If he said that to me I would've let it go or ignored it, but if he said that to one of my friends I would've beaten the hay outta him.

Gotta let it go.

Especially around awkward teens and groups of "dudes".

The easiest defense mechanism is the insult.  In a crude way, it elevates the insulter by drawing attention away from him to you.

Most likely it was a case of him not getting it or getting it and feeling let down because he would never be brave enough to wear something fun like that...it is his self consciousness more than anything else.

Or he is just an ass.

Either way...wear what you want...people will either like it or not, but in the real world confidence is one of the most attractive aspects a person can have...wear what makes you feel good and happy...the right ones will note this and then you will be even happier  Cheesy
