The banner showing Twilight as an alicorn seems very possible now. I mean how much higher can she study, I mean she will probably become an alicorn. I mean we need one more Princess. we have the sun, and the moon, now we need the stars.

So I finally get around to watching the S3 premiere, and I realized the Crystal Empire has been missing for 1000 years.
Luna was stuck in the moon for 1000 years.
In the beginning of the episode, it showed Luna and Celestia defeating Sombra. Luna was not NMM at the time, meaning Sombra's defeat had to occur only a few weeks before Luna's turn.
WHAT IS THE CONNECTION?

It never says Discord was turned to stone 1,000 years ago. All Celestia says about when he ruled is "Before my sister and I stood up to him". Your point is definitely valid, though, and I would say the same thing. 1,000 years is most likely exact for Nightmare Moon, with the prophecy and all, but probably not for the Crystal Empire. |

Nightmare Moon is her own villain. I'm not saying it shouldn't happen in fanfic or headcanon, just that it probably didn't happen in actual canon. |

i'd personally stay away from history fanfics, those usually don't go over to well. People prefer canon history, IMHO.
