Crystal ponies... in Canterlot?

Needless to say, bronies are jumping ship left and right now. Natural selection, I say.

Well, it seems I was the only one on the entire internet who cared about yesterday's episode, but I thought it was great, epecially the part with Cadance helping Twilight with stress management and the tie-ins to Just For Sidekicks. Oh, and Rainbow Dad, which leaves Fluttershy as the only one without any parents (AJ's were apparently confirmed to be dead, but at least they existed).

Now, what I've observed from the new promos for Magical Mystery Cure:

Rarity gets RD's Cutie Mark.

Pinkie gets AJ's Cutie Mark and Pinkamena mane makes a comeback.

I'm fairly certain, judging by earlier promo material, that RD will get Fluttershy's Cutie Mark.

I was surprised with the comments on Youtube.  They were quite astounding.  Oh well.
I've noticed that as more episodes come out there seems to be a stronger backlash in opposition, for whatever reason.  It's kind of funny really, I mean, what do they expect?  The shows main demographic is for young girls, surely the fans can't expect the show to start acting like ReBoot in seasons 3-4 or other shows with complex story lines and whatnot.  Don't get me wrong, it would be cool, but the show has to remain acceptable to people of all ages, not just a specific group.

People are also pissed because Hasbro gave Fighting Is Magic a C&D, to the extent that there was an article on EQD criticizing the fandom for becoming too selfish.

Anybody who defends Twilicorn is being accused of self-righteousness and those like me who say they'll wait and see before passing judgement are ignored because everybody just wants to pick fights.

Plus there was that fake promo for Equestria Girls that caused a ton of butthurt. That was actually funny.

The obscure possible confirmation of a movie also has bronies up in arms for some reason.

Oh well, I'm staying off Ponychan until this is over.

If anypony's is too small to read the enlarged bits, that's the dreaded confirmation of what had already been rumored - Equestria Girls will be a humanized version of FIM. Fortunately it won't interfere with FIM, or so I've heard. We won't have to wait long to see, regardless - it airs this spring.

Assuming that the confirmation is legit.

Maybe they'll pull an Adventure time and it will turn out to be one big Fan Fiction like in that one episode where the Ice-King writes a story where Finn and Jake are Fiona and Cake, their female counterparts?

Regardless, eh, they can do as they wish.

MLP isn't the only show to do this.  Many animated shows have had an episode where the characters turn into something different which acts as part of the drama.  Transformers turning into humans, Street-Sharks turning into humans, Gargoyles turning into humans, Batman turning into regular Bruce Wayne, the Planeteers losing their powers, the list goes on.
In that time no one complained because, well, the internet just wasn't as accessible.  It's amazing how shows can't even do anything without it being judged before coming out.

Will it be a whole new series?
Maybe.

Or maybe it will be an April Fools joke, just in time for Spring.

I'm almost completely certain it'll be a series and I'm fairly certain it'll take place in a separate reality from FIM. Sometimes it's hard to tell a confirmation from a firm opinion, though. That article made it sound like the Mane 6 get human bodies, but that seems unlikely. It probably just sounded cool to say it that way.

Regardless, I'll watch it and I won't complain until there's something to complain about

If it is true, why would they call it Equestria Girls, other than featuring the mane 6?
The equestria part just doesn't seem to fit for human characters, unless they are all enrolled in a pony-riding academy, that is.
