Hey, I'm planning a MLP/Star Wars and would like some advice. The premise is, on the way to Abeloth's planet in Allies, Luke, Ben and Vestara crash on an uncharted planet... one filled with colorful talking horses...

I'm having really bad writer's block with starting this thing though, so any help would be appreciated.

What I usually do for writers blocks is I quick-write on notebook paper.
Just start writing for like 5-10 minutes without any distractions, somewhat like a journal, but no matter what you DO NOT STOP WRITING, even if it's incomprehensible gibberish.
It doesn't even have to be related to the story, it could be something as simple and mundane as describing the corner or color of a wall.

I hope that helps.  Smiley

I'm not sure how I feel about this considering there's an apparent "love-interest" [or its her brother?], everyone's wearing expensive-looking designer clothes, and there's high school girl drama involved.  Undecided
In fact, it's those things above that has kept me away from watching "shows intended for girls" throughout my entire life.  This seems to go against the very foundation of what MLP:FiM was supposed to represent, which was breaking away from those factors.

They're actually kind of scary looking the more I think about it.
You see, as ponies, they don't look like ponies to me, rather candy-colored ultra-curvy / deformed equine-creatures that talk.
For this they're like candy-colored ultra-curvy / deformed humans that talk.

Or I guess I could just keep an open mind.  I just don't know...  Undecided

That is what I thought at first, but I gave it a chance. It so doesn't follow any of the stereotypes we thought it would. Put simply, it was a movie for bronies. It has tons of nods to us, and DHX didn't disappoint.

I certainly did give it a chance and it didn't disappoint.  Smiley

In fact, I am greatly pleased that once again MLP taught me to keep an open mind and to not judge things on face value.
I had a feeling the movie would be good when nearly every review gave it good ratings.
Seriously though, nearly everyone thought it was going to follow the stereotypes of a high-school drama, me included.  While it did have the tvtropes cutout of the Alpha-***** for Sunset Shimmer, it was still a pleasing movie to watch and was most definitely a movie intended for the fanbase.  In fact, I'm not entirely sure how a young person will get nearly half the jokes portrayed in the movie?

I thought the movie was really good.  In fact, I thought it was better than "Man of Steel" in many ways even though they are from completely different spectrum's.
I think the only thing I would have liked to see is have Snowflake yell "YEAH!!!" when Twilight receives the crown at the dance and for maybe more scenes with the Cutie Mark Crusaders.
Other than that it was a nice addition.  I'm looking forward to the next season and this new show.

HI!

Did I get this right that we are talking here about my little pony?
The stuff is still haunting me from my early childhood since my little sister always had them with her.

How comes that they are so popular among us here?
Is there a remake from them?
I guess I totally failed to acknowledge that till now... Should I be concerned? ^^

A link with a trailer maybe?  Grin
I am always open for new stuff to wreck my mind.
Only thing I remember watching which left me curious is that video here.

It is very popular here.  I have seen some really great MLP Star Wars art.  Watched every episode of the new show with my daughter and honestly have to say that it and Disney Fairies have begun to grow on me.

You should get Luna to hook you up with some of the best episodes to watch.  Even if you don't become a die hard brony, you will certainly enjoy many of the episodes Luna suggests.

I always recommend season 1 episode 16 as the best episode to start with. It's a great episode and it gives a good idea of the gist of the show as a whole. Season 2 episode 4 is a personal favorite of mine, and as such I also recommend it. From there, I would go back and watch in the proper order Cool
