I recived my Yari extensions yesterday and I'm going to do a quick review with pics, video review will be later.
The extensions are exceptional! Very comfortable to hold, and the grooves make for a wonderful grip! So much so I think I'm going to have one drilled so I can make a MHS hilt out of it. Each section is about 15" long and the new flush couplers are 1.75" long. I ordered 3 sections and 3 couplers (one with vents) I will give more info durring the video review. The pics include comparison shots for size , also a few with an extension as a hilt with emitter and pommel attached, a shot of a single extension with 2 emitters as a double bladed saber , 2 extensions together as a double blades saber , and bolth next to my UtraFx maul. The extensions are hollow and there is lots of room for sound, battery pack, MLS units fit in the ends as they do in a normal US hilt. Here is a few pics where I just added a switch , 4 AAA batt pack, and 2 SRD MLS units and 2 Consular emitters. I will probably switch to a Li-Ion batt pack with BuckPuck later.

Nice. I would actually use just a pommel and use one of the other ends as the blade emitter if possible. I'd use the Dominix V3 pommel. Make it all nice and Sithy. Do you have a Dominix V3 speaking of to show how long the saber hilt itself would be with a yari piece?

Bwahaha! I love the Glaive emitter with the tiny 1" blade sticking out past the claws. That's great! Hilarious, but yet so awesome.

Thanks all.keep in mind in that last pick, that's a 24"blade slid up into a extension to the lit base of the first extension and held in place by the Warglaive emitter. Lots of fun possibiltys with these! And the extension makes a really nice hilt that can be handled well no matter how you like to wield your saber!

Hollow.  Also, with 2 extensions and flush couplers, I've found that I can use them as a sheath or scabbard even for my 36" bladed sabers.  Which brings me to my next question for The Powers That Be, "How awesome would it be if there were a MHS emmiter with male threads past the retention screws to 'lock' the saber in this 'sheath'?"

All in all, I'd absolutely delighted with my new naginata (full bladed polearm).
