So the clerk tried to blame you for something he did?  No, H**l no.  I'm glad that there are security cams but even if there wasn't any, they would have to prove that you did it.  I wouldn't buy anything from them ever again

I would fire that clerk, were I that store.

It would be one thing if I had dropped it.  I've done that in a liquor store, and I offered to pay.  My local store said not to worry about it at all.  And my local store had a clerk inadvertently break a bottle, and the clerk immediately had someone go get another for me.  But trying to charge for their error?

If they are a large chain store, you might also want to write their HQ a letter, explaining what happened and indicating why they've lost your business.

Took my Xbox360 to the Microsoft store over the weekend to troubleshoot, they just plug in see the 3 rings and tell me to buy another cause my GPU is bad supposedly.  So I check on youtube, see that there is a diagnostic routine to identify exact source of 3 ring error.  Go back do it myself in front of the guy and turns out it was the power supply after he claimed it could not possibly be it, and my Xbox360 started working again.  He seemed upset, and continued to tell me that my GPU was going bad and it was just a matter of time.  They didn't sell 360 anymore so not because he wanted a sale, because he wanted to be right, even though he didn't even know how to run the diagnostics, and left to complain about me taking up a second timeslot while I did it, so he didn't care to learn how to run the diagnostic either...  Tongue 

Still not as bad as Frizz's story though.  At least I wasn't asked to pay anything for using their power cord or taking up their desk in the store to diagnose.

Being in the IT field (or any field), I can attest to that.  Lots of people are stuck in their ways and won't fest up to learning or just stating that they are wrong.  You have to learn before you're able to teach after that and I see more and more of that nowadays.  At least you did your part, research and troubleshooted on your own.  It's not like you're trying to throw it in his face but to tell him "hey, it wasn't that but here's how to find out and fix the problem".  Some people are hard said on their ways and to me, everything is a theory until it's proven.  Kudos to you, Edon. Point incoming for troubleshooting your three red rings of death on your 360.

People who open a product at the store and then take an unopened box or ask for a discount for the box being open.

The person who did the plumbing in this house needs to be fed abs glue. Over half the joints in the drains are not glued so as we are doing work to put in the new bathroom we have to go along clean inside the existing joints and glue them before we can move forward with the new plumbing.

I probably wont be able to get anything new possibly until next year if that even so x.x Really does anger me a bit though. Really was looking forward to having a new saber again but oh well. Seems my saber buying days are over at this point
