Because sometimes you need to go with some 80s smoothness. I remember hearing this coming out of my sister room when I was kid. She always used to play it when she was getting ready to go out on a Friday/Saturday night.

About to watch Brightburn at the cinema. I was hyped before it came out, but all the reviews said it was bad. So i delayed. But a friend who loves horror, and who has not been a fan of modern horror, saw it yesterday and loved it. And I trust him. So, here we go.

As it's been out for a while I won't be doing a non-spoiler review. But, I will be doing one for Spiderman: Far From Home. As for Brightburn, it didn't give me anything unexpected, except for a couple of deaths. It was well made and the acting was top notch. I did find myself constantly comparing it to Superman (which I don't think is unexpected if you've seen the trailer) and that actually made it fun. I wouldn't say you need to rush out to watch it at the cinema. But, keep an eye out for it once it's available on streaming. A nice little movie that is a good way to pass some time one evening. |

Time for Dark Phoenix. Yes, it will probably be as bad as all the reviews say. But, I'm an X-Men fan, dammit! I've seen all the other X-movies at the cinema so need to watch this last offering from old school Fox.

I like this group; they are imaginative, they like some of the same fandoms I do, and to me, their productions appear to be very well done.

So, I've heard that Spiderman: Far From Home is being released on Tuesday. So I checked the listings at my local cinema and noticed the first showing was at 9.25am on Tuesday. That seemed really strange to me, so I looked at Monday's listings and sure enough, there is one showing at 11.35pm. So, I guess I'll be watching the movie tomorrow instead of Tuesday. Non-spoiler review will follow immediately afterwards.

Saturday me and the wife watched Yesterday and Annabelle Comes Home.
Yesterday was a fun movie, which I thought would be good. It was ever better then I thought and ended different then I thought it would. Which made it even better.
I love horror movie but most often they leave me disappointed. Not this Annabelle. It did start out a little slow to lay the ground for the story but after that a lot of action, was very good.
