I love also the visuals of Coruscant, Naboo and Tatooine ... I loved the music ... in fact, i rally like this movie Wink

I think I would love to live on Coruscant. My kind of planet. 2nd place would be Naboo.  Tatooine - no way - Hate the heat, hate the sand.

As a Star Trek fan, I am able and used to embracing bad movies in my franchise and as we all know, there have been some truly AWFUL Trek movies. And yet, Trek fans embrace the bad with the good. Contrast that with (some) Star Wars fans who occasionally get really defensive of the criticisms of the prequels.

Yes, they aren't as good as the original trilogy, but there is still enjoyable stuff in there. And when something bad/annoying happens on screen or someone says a line of cheesy dialogue, just accept it and move on with a wry shake of the head
I agree with you, buddy. I tire of the absolute thinking that some have, where unless they love every single element of a movie, they label it a bomb. Using the words of Jango Fett, the Star Wars prequels "did their job well" (he didn't say "did their job perfectly"), and by that I mean, they accomplished what they needed to, not perfection, but not a disaster either.

*edit*

No movie is perfect. As I've always said with Star Trek: "All Trek is good Trek". I may not like all the movies, but it's all part of the franchise I love and every movie still has something you can like. Even gentle ribbing through a sign of affection is allowed (it's what gave us great spoof movies like Spaceball and Galaxy Quest). I think the same mentality of "All Star Wars is good Star Wars" should be the mantra.

Yep. If you're going to say you're a Star Trek fan or a Star Wars fan, you appreciate each movie for what it is and don't attack it for what it is not. When I first saw it I loved every bit of it and then heard the complaining later and thought to myself, "What the hell are they talking about? Did I miss something? I don't see it?" A lot of negative energy from the haters hurt the impression many had of the films. I went through different stages where I didn't know what to think about them and often questioned my enthusiasm thinking "am I crazy and lame for liking these movies?".  I'm past that and really try to go into any movie now with a completely open mind to let a movie entertain me in the way the creators and director intended and not try to mold into something it's not.

I'm of the opinion, if you love a franchise, just accept the negative things about any movie that is released.

I totally agree with a lot of the negative comments about the prequels, but that doesn't mean I hate them. NONE of the prequels is as bad as Star Trek V: The Final Frontier. ST 5 is woefully bad and is probably the worst entry in the franchise. And yet, that badness is what makes it fun to watch.

The things that are bad about the prequels (bland performances from ALL the actors, not just Hayden, cheesy dialogue, Jar-Jar etc) are just elements NOT the entire film trilogy. I won't defend the bad or act like they don't exist, but I won't let that blindly comment that everything in all three movies is bad.

Definitely, agreed all the way, including the ST 5 part.  Grin
