I can see how dealing with Florida traffic could take the mickey out of you.
and How, My 2 hour each way commute is only like that because of the traffic. I dropped a friend off at the airport this past Sunday morning at like 4 am without traffic it took me 25 minutes... so that should tell you something

Maybe a few hours, but since I'm at home I'm not walking around a lot. I never said there were no Cons, I don't go to them. No time, money or real energy to go to them. I live in Florida and the headache of my 2 hour commute to work and the 2 hour commute home is plenty, making the 4 hour trip (conservative estimate) to the Convention Center fighting Florida Traffic on the weekends isn't really worth it to me at this point. The less time I spend in a vehicle the better.

You guys are adorable. Having lived in and around Houston for pretty much all of my life, moving to Florida and dealing with the traffic here is a welcome relief. Put it this way... Back in Houston, my 11 mile commute from work to home would take 35-45 minutes when traffic was "light". In the middle of rush hour, though? Easily 90 minutes.

Florida overall is considered to have some of the worse traffic in America, but within it also depends where you are. Further south you go...the worse it gets...and I am pretty far south

Would this be the padawag, or did you get a new one?
Same buddy I've always had. Definitely rethinking the shots next year. They keep immunity for some time (often years), so I may have a conversation with my vet about better options.

Yeah, I periodically debate on getting Rosi her shots. I know everywhere she goes and everything she does. But better safe than sorry. I love that little poop too much. Plus the groomer won't take her without up-to-date tags.

The post office delivery person Supposedly knocked on my door with my delivery at 8:00. . . the truth is he probably didn't want to wait for a signature so he just wrote up a notice and stuck in our mail box. How do I know this? Because I had just gotten back from walking a dog I'm taking care of and my mother was in the living room.
So the post office is going to get a phone call in a few minutes and I am going to see if I can pick it up today, and either way I will be asking for some manager to give the incompetent and/or lazy f***wit a good upbraiding.

We'll see how that goes.

If I got married and he gave away my too, first thing I would do (after getting out of jail for assault) would be going to a lawyer to start the process of filing for divorce.

No she lied about it and told me she was taking him to a friends house, all because he got fleas at her sister's place. Like that didn't have a less drastic solution. It lead down a very dark path in our relationship that did almost lead to divorce, and years of marriage counseling later, it is one of the only things I haven't been able to really forgive her for.

My wife is deadly allergic to dogs and we didn't know it when I got my last Lab. She (the wife) was getting allergy shots twice a week for over a year and it didn't help! I keep telling her we had to get rid of the dog but she just keep saying no. Finally I put my foot down, I loved the dog but I love my wife more. She told me after that she wouldn't say yes to bring rid of the dog because she was afraid I would blame her, she couldn't breath out of her nose for way over a year and was worried about me being upset with her. I told her if I couldn't breath for a week it would have been gone and I love dogs LOL. But we made sure the Lab went to a good home, she is a great dog. EB sorry to hear about that but I'm glad y'all have kinda sorta worked it out.

I am sorry Edon, that is really horrible.
Tx_tuff, something like allergies is completely understandable reason for having to get rid of a beloved pet. At least you guys discussed it beforehand.

Seriously? Put some Frontline on and call it a day. I would merit forgiveness if she has shown genuine regret, and has shown that the mentality behind the incident is dead and buried in the past. That was a bitch move.
