As for the question, I don't have an Obsidian, so take this with a grain of salt, but I believe there's a converter built into the program that will allow you to import 44000kHz mono sounds as LSU sounds the Obsidian sound board can use.  You can do some wild stuff, as a result; see what Theron did for an example.

I am so happy that we got recharge ports. Hopefully they don't get in the way of handling a saber! We can send in our current sabers to get upgraded to recharge ports, right?

One question, if I may.

The charger I got with my current obsidian saber is a .5A (500 mA) charger.  I presume that it's still inadequate to support the always-on functionality?

Oramac....No, you will need to purchase the 1.2 Fast Charger...this is the ONLY one that will allow you to have your saber on continuously....the other doesn't give off enough or fast enough of a charge to sustain such actions.....Deep has a video up on the new recharge port options

This is an awesome feature!  Great job guys.

To anyone out there looking to get a saber with Flash on Clash - I HIGHLY recommend getting a recharge port with killkey, unless you want to take the batteries out whenever you aren't using the saber.  That current drain will kill it off pretty quickly without stopping the circuit, in my experience.

I'm wondering about the pros and cons of having a kill key with the recharge port setup. The site does list both options in the recharge port menu, and although I've seen reviews online with kill keys and what they do, I'm still curious about the pros and cons using an Obsidian setup.

I assume that with the kill key, one basically 'disconnects' the battery(ies) from the saber by plugging in a key or plug into the recharge port. In the non-kill key setup, the saber is always on as it is with the current Obsidian, and the recharge port would just disable the saber to charge the batteries by plugging in the charger.

First, is that how they work? Second, what might the pros/cons be of both setups?

Imagine my surprise when I was sifting through a weeks worth of emails when I saw one from US about the Manticore and recharge ports. I was so happy I had to motorboat my cat's tummy for a good 5 mins. With the Guardian back in stock as well this is gonna be a good Christmas.

First of all, cool!

The idea of replacing the idle hum with something like ocean waves is really clever.  With an RGB saber, you could have fun with various mood lighting, too.  Only problem will be explaining to my wife why it's perfectly reasonable for me to hang a constantly-running saber on our living-room wall...

Most awaited feature ever!!!! Just when I also looked and loved the Manticore....

But upgrading my three sound sabers seem more important all of the sudden.

They need this... and while they are upgraded... a buckpuck too. Just made the email asking for upgrade price in total per saber!

Might be smart to add this package as a selection to the site? Even better...

Awesome feature for sure. Now, my only question is if you'll be offering a charger compatible with European 230V wall sockets? The standard Li-Ion charger was no biggie, considering it used a standard C7/C8 euro-connector most people already have from other electronic devices..

The chargers have an input rating of 100-240 VAC so they would work magnificently with overseas wall sockets.  All you would need is an adapter, which as you said, most of our overseas customers already have for other devices.
