Hmmm... Rel, I'm guessing you haven't played Kingdom Hearts? The keyblade rarely unlocks the nice things in people. When you unlock the heart, you basically turn them into a heatless thing, literally, a Heartless. It's the same thing as most of us think being without a soul would be like. I think the only time that someone has been hit with a keyblade and turned good was when Riku captured Roxas with it and gave him amnesia... Keyblade is used for good, yes, but it's very easy to use as an evil weapon, hence Xehanort and Vanitas.

So, keyblade, not necessarily a point and shoot to make fluffy bunnies. More of a, be careful what you wish for, I'm just going to cast Reflect and run away. Or Gravity. To pull the other guys into a portal. If used in a melee circumstance, I'd think of it as a ghost sword. Goes through objects but causes them insane damage on the way through. Pulls everything out of synch. Soooo... edit that to how you like, but it's not a fluffy weapon.

Ok so describe the special ability in viable game terms of what the beam would do to a Lick or another player.

I'd take the portal gun, and use it to escape, run away, and if possible get to places where others can't get to me, where I could wait fot everyone else to kill each other. Hopefully the last one left would be injured by the end, and I could take one of the weapons that would be lying all over on the ground at that point, and use it against them.

Gordon is boring, GLaDoS is... GLaDoS, I'm not a TF2 fan, Mace is a snobby jerk, and Ezio is relatively underpowered.

I'd pick the portal gun I could shoot one portal to the moon if it goes through electric barrier and one below my enimies I could set up traps with it and sneak up behind eniemies. If portal gun range does not reach moon ill pick battle rifle since it's ranged
For my partner I'd pick Glados if she could link to to electric systems if there were any in arena ( I could get here to diable barrier) if not I would pick jango fett as long as he got to keep all his equipment and armour (if he died I could take his jetpack and weapons)

Masterchief's rifle is designed for a man considerably stronger than I, and with far greater stamina, if you combine that with armour i suspect you'd be talking heat exhaustion in a very short space of time. The same goes for the lancer, those guys are like bulldogs without the wrinkles, no way i could use that for more than a few minutes, not with any degree of accuracy.

 Portal gun, not all that useful without a ready supply of moonrock, and not all that useful really because although it could be used to set traps, it has neither inherent offensive or defensive capabilities. And without long-fall boots/implants, it's a menace.

 That leaves melee weapons, so i'd have to say sword and shield.

As for companion, i'd have to go with SW, it'd be jango or windu, prolly actually Jango. Both trained as warriors, but Fett is trained for long range, and as a team of two, sword and board already has close quarters.

I've seen all of these weapons and am familiar with their use except for the Portal Gun. Based on the stipulation that you only get the weapon and not the physical/mental/or magical prowess to wield them...Chief's Battle Rifle is the only weapon an average person would be able to use without extensive training or conditioning.

Now if the weapon comes in a package deal with abilty...you best believe I'm gonna tear all y'all up wth the Blades of Chaos. They come equipped with magics.

If I'm not mistaken on caliber, 7.65mm bullets. Yes, it chews through ammo fairly steady.

Thanks, Then I would choose sword and shield.  Make whoever picked the gun expend his ammo then engage.  Fortunately I do have training with Sword and Board.
