I originally posted this in the "Would you rather..." thread, but then I realized that this deserved a thread of its own as well I just want to see what everyone would pick, as opposed to the one-person limit in the other thread. Anyways... You are about to participate in a free-for-all death match inside of an expansive concrete arena filled with realistic (but breakable) buildings. There is an invisible, electric barrier covering the arena (similar to Hunger Games). Leading into the arena is a smaller room where you and your soon-to-be-enemies can choose which weapons you want. Each weapon is from a video game and you are only allowed to carry one weapon. Each fighter in the arena will be given generic steel armor. Also, each weapon has been balanced before hand, power level wise. You won't be going in with the physical stats of those who wielded these weapons in their respective video games, you will instead go in with your physical stats in real life. Same goes for attitude, personality, etc. Would you rather have... A) The Keyblade from Kingdom Hearts B) Ivy's whip-sword from Soul Caliber C) Master Chief's battle rifle from Halo D) Link's sword-and-shield combo from Zelda E) The portal gun from Portal F) The Lancer chainsaw rifle from Gears of War G) Scorpion's spear from Mortal Kombat H) Kratos's Blades of Chaos from God of War

I'm tempted to say Master Chief's battle rifle, just because guns tend to beat swords for the most part (unfortunately). However, my second choice would definitely be Link's sword and shield... you get a lot of versatility out of having a pairing like that, and they also seem the most well-balanced out of the remaining choices.

Good choices I would personally go for either the Lancer rifle or the whip-blade. The Lancer would have the added melee option and it would be effective at long distances, while the whip-blade can extend out very far and can beat a rifle if the user is good enough. Aside from that, it can be retracted and used as a sword as well. The Halo fanboy in me is crying out for the Battle Rifle though....

If you had offered me the Covenant Pistol instead of the Battle Rifle, you'd have had me hands down. But I'm a smart man, and I see a loophole. You didn't specify WHICH of Link's Sword and Shield Combos, so I will take the Master Sword and Mirror Shield from Ocarina of Time. Because Bullets cost money, but being able to deflect pretty much anything is priceless. Plus, you know that junk has to come with a funny green hat. lol

Either way, you can still get taken out I think Nero and I should form an alliance and kill you right off the start

The Halo Battle Rifle is definitely the most tempting, but my recent forays into BB gun world have taught me one thing: I couldn't hit the broadside of an 18 wheeler, shooting a gun.
Then again, I'm not to good with a sword, however swinging a sword is easier than shooting for a beginner.....
I would have to say Kratos's Blades Of Chaos, then the Battle rifle as my second choice.

Portal gun, just because. If I'm going to die, (And I have no doubt I'm not surviving this deathmatch) I want to go out whilst launching myself at ridiculous velocities.
And who knows, maybe I'll get lucky and take an opponent with me.

Haha, Kaiden One strategy I just thought of for the Portal Gun is to just make a portal underneath your opponent and another one right in front of you. Then you can instantly knock them out with the gun or with your fists or whatever. Or, if you are in an alliance with someone else, you can send them over to your partner and have him/her shank them

I was thinking to put the other portal on the side of a tall building. Send 'em to plummet.

That works too. Though, if the person you sent plummeting had Scorpion's spear or the whip-sword, they could just latch onto the side of the building. Though that would also make them sitting ducks.... Well, that is unless they are near a window and can get inside the building and go downstairs.

I think I'm the only one going for the keyblade. As a rule, keyblade users have an innate talent with magic, which would be seriously helpful. Also, you don't have to lug the thing around full time cos it just evaporates and comes back whenever you want it. I'd snatch up that in an instant. Either that, or I'm going for the portal gun. It would make running around and hiding really easy cos you could get up to high places with ease.

Give light side or dark side points depending on the reason you're giving them. I'd like to see which side I end up on... I like making up nicknames for people. Aeon V3 LE w/ Sound: SRD Libby, no sound: GB Reaper w/ Sound, FoC: PO w/ FO

Yeah, right? Now it's just about what I want to specialize with. I sorta wanna do Sweet Memories, just cos then I'd randomly find stuff on the ground, but Bond of Flame is all flamey and Axely and stuff. Man, I torkin' love KH. Maybe that's what I'll play when I'm done with hw.
