And today marks the 2 month mark of my purchase with only an automated email asking if I received my saber, hopefully I’ll get some type of response soon

Devils advocate here.

The problem with anything on the net, is that when people are happy.. they don't bother to go out and post, review, or research a company/product.

Examples:
You ordered something.. you got what you wanted in the time you wanted.
You have a job, and you're perfectly happy working there.
You hired someone, to do a job, and it went exactly as expected.


In MOST cases, things went the way you expect them to, so you have no reason to post or research.

However.. when things go wrong, we humans tend to try to find out if we were the only ones that had problems. Was it personal? Was it just you? Is the product to blame?


That's when people on the net tend to band together, and start tearing something apart into small pieces. (Heck, we're doing it, right here in this thread.. and I'm just as guilty of it, as others)


So... when you see something like this on the net (same thing with BBB stuff), it only exists, because either:
A.) you're the 5% or so that actually bother to review things you love... and thus, it has a positive result.. or
B.) You're the 99% that, when disgruntled, start to pick at the issue, and find out where things went wrong.

Of course.. then there's C.) You dislike something, just on principal, and you want to tear it down.


So.. whenever you see stuff like BBB reports, and Indeed, and yes.. even online forums.. realize you're always going to be able to find hundreds/thousands of people to find things wrong with a product/company/person


Do I think all of those reviews are legit? No.. but I suspect there's some truth to them.. BUT, then again.. how many of those posts were made by past employees, vs current ones?


What I recommend.. in most cases, for any online product or business:

Take the current value/score of what it's rated at, vs what its max value is.. and then average the 2... That's probably closer to an accurate representation of a product/company... because you're getting rid of some of the 'human factor'. |


If you ever see something rated at 100%, or 0%.... run away.. because that's not how the world works... possible? Sure.. plausible.. heck no. Smiley


(if anyone decides to accuse me for sticking up for US, please go back and read all my previous posts.. Wink


I believe US is like many other companies.. trying to do their best, but making mistakes as they go. The question is, do they learn from it?

Does US have longer than usual wait times?  Yes, and as we've covered already it's not entirely their fault.  Does US have serious communication issues?  Yes, we've covered that already, too.  What's the point of posting a bunch of reviews from unhappy employees?  I can't think of any place with 100% of its employees happy, can you?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this forum is mostly about the sabers themselves, along with other things related to Star Wars and other miscellaneous pop culture stuff, isn't it?  Can we stick to that, please?

I have only been a member of this board a short time and after reading many complaints about this or that what i dont see much of is complaints of bad products oh there will always be issues with any manufactured product but i dont see alot of it here. yes US has its issues. But lets stick to our common love and interest of sabers and starwars

No, you didn't trigger me; believe me, I'm not about to defend them on what they're doing wrong as far as their communication issues go.   I just didn't see the point of what you posted.

Look, bottom line is, you're going to get your order, even if it is taking a while.  You're not out of a lot of money.  I've plunked down some serious moolah too, and I have yet to see anything to suggest that I won't get my orders.

I'm gonna shut up cause if I keep talking, I'm gonna get all "I don't worry about the small stuff like this" again and sound all holier than thou, which I know damn well I'm not.  I'm just having an off day....off year....pay me no mind.

going from a 50 hr work week, 15hrs a week teaching not to mention just social things like going out to eat ..sucks .  all of this is making us all a bit short temper, this will all pass in time
