Replace black guarded switches with av switches and upgrade the speaker to bass speaker, sounds amazing now with loud fonts like ninja jedi's darktron.

Nice sabers! I like the AV switches on your Shock - I assume they're latching switches?
But I'm wondering about the switches on your Aeons not lining up...did you order it like that or did you receive it like that without specifying it? For me they're perfectly in line...

No did not specify anthing. Maybe because of the coupler, are you using the same coupler?

I have the normal coupler, not the adjustable...should be the same one that you have, according to the pics.

I'm not much for following the Order.

Those latching AV switches are really nice for a silver hilt RGB! Makes it look more real and I'll bet it's much more comfortable to wield than with those guarded switches. Great job with both sabers (all 3 technically)!

I was just thinking I wanted to do this same thing to my RGB manticore, where did you get the switches? Did you have to alter the switches for them to fit? In the research I have done people have had to bend the prongs because of the length. Is it possible to get I wiring diagram for this?

Norvinus, that staff is awesome!  That's very much what I want to do with my Phantom V3 staff, only in black.  Smiley

Very nice!

Thanks guys, glad you like it.

About the rgb av switches i used, I got actually from ultrasaber. You just buy the av switch and mention you want it as non-illuminated latching. I did contact Emory about this before I purchase so better ask him before hand just to make sure its in-stock.

Wiring for the rgb switch is very basic since its non-lighted, each rgb switch will just have 2 wires. The tricky part here is making it fit because the switch was huge. Since I have them recessed, i really have to bend the connector and some strategic cramming of the wirings inside, might be easier using a bezel. But having them recessed makes the hilt so comfortable to hold now.

For the wrapping, what i used here are those used for bicycle handlebars this one i have is the thinnest one i find.

Did you have to drill the holes out bigger? I have been trying to find 12mm switches but with no luck
