Sounding off with a note of thanks to Emory and all the folks at Ultrasabers!! I won a Crimson Reaper with R+B two channel Emerald driver! And it rocks!! The Reaper is a big hilt, but shockingly lithe and incredibly well-balanced. I would never have picked it out on my own, but must say that it is one of the most authentically deadly and quick sabers I have used, and I have used a lot. I am a drama teacher and we are doing Old Republic Shakespeare, and we have about 30 sabers in the show, so I have held a huge variety of them. The Reaper is fantastic for dueling! I would also like to echo Rozurial--the Prophecy is my baby (and I use an Initiate in my off-hand; weird). Loving the Reaper, though. What a great surprise!

It's one from one of the " other guys " but sure looks good on that v3 Initiate.  Correct. It's from a shop that has custom saber parts. The sound holes weren't quite loud enough so I drilled them out a size or two. Almost as loud as the arbiter now. I'm supposed to go visit my brother who lives out of state, and I wanted to take him and his wife a saber as a house warming gift (it's our first time visiting his new home), and I was gonna try to enter the raffle as well.

I know this raffle literally just ended, but does anyone have a ballpark estimate of when the Summer Raffle will start? I'm supposed to go visit my brother who lives out of state, and I wanted to take him and his wife a saber as a house warming gift (it's our first time visiting his new home), and I was gonna try to enter the raffle as well.
Well - it looks like the first Summer Raffle winners from last year were announced on July 31st & in 2013 the Summer Raffle ended on 7/16 - so I guess maybe early to mid-July if they stick with about the same time-table. |

I know I am a bit tardy, but here are pictures of my Manticore, R+B 2 Channel Emerald Driver, 32" blade, Obsidian Sound which was my raffle entry. I can't tell you all enough how much of a awesome saber this is.    The Dark Sentinel LE was my raffle prize. This saber is a sleeper. Its a lot better looking and extremely well balanced. Allright alllright I am late to the party for multiple reasons but here are my sabers from the Spring raffle. First of all is my entry, a Fiery Orange Scorpion with sound, with Red Flash on Clash, midgrade blade.   Less impressive in daylight but I still love it.  And my Second prize, a random saber with sound... An Archon with Guardian Blue blade   |

That scorpion in FO looks pretty good. Used to have one in PO myself. Both oranges look good on it. Congrats on the archon too, you even got a blue av switch to match the blade color!

It's like I tell the newbs. You will be hard pressed to find better customer service than you get with US. There's a bunch of haters on the web, trolling about how US is a bunch of crooks, or they make overpriced junk. I have yet to hear them substantiate any of this. I've been collecting for under a year. In that time I have purchased 22 sabers. Only 1 has not passed through my hands for inspection (one Reaper, that was gifted to a special someone), but from what I heard, she had absolutely no problems with it. I have never had any complaints with the products I received, and I can be a picky SOB. So yeah, US is a pretty good bunch of guys/gals. |
