You know the type of day you just had, a long hard one for all sorts of reasons.
You come home and you see your sabers.
You turn it on.
You see the bright light in front of you and maybe with the sound too.
It chills you a little.
Puts a smile on your face.
You say, it's all worth it because I have these awesome sabers.
So, what you say?

Honestly, I bought them. I used them a handful of times. And they've sat in my basement collecting dust for the last two years.

Dang, maybe I should have tried this last night. It was a long, grueling day at work. Though, I did spend a half an hour or so on the website planning my purchase for next week (payday.) That was incredibly relaxing. But, I'll definitely try that in the future. -1 for the idea.  |

Totally agree. Always puts a smile on my face when I ignite the saber. I then proceed to switch them all on  But, what about the feeling of unboxing your newly delivered saber, especially if you've had a hard day at work, and switching that on for the first time? |

For me it's more like: Get home Walk into my room See my Overlord Run my hand over the hilt As I ignite the blade and hear the deep throbbing A smile comes across my face ----------------- But yes I totally agree. It is oddly relaxing... Ultrasabers are the only toy that you play with and it never gets old |

We are true fans of the lightsaber.
It's wonderful we have them I think, really is.
Unboxing a new one is sublime. There is nothing for that amount of money spent that can beat it. Kills anything else, period.

Most physical activity relaxes me, especially combat type of activities.
I've been trying to convince my wife she needs one, and the other day she dulled with me and my boys, and she said, "It is a pretty good stress release," and we were just having fun.
So, yes, just turning it on, spinning it, and hitting things with it all relax me.

As the Dark creature I am, it should not surprise you that I occasionally use my saber as a way to vent my frustrations (and hopefully avoid yelling at somebody, or doing further damage if I already HAVE had an argument).

Yes, hitting things with them helps. Occasionally I even turn them on. And sometimes I'll even hit stuff with the plastic end.
I just need someone around here to actually spar with on a regular basis.
