So I just got out of the. Was t-boned by a guy fleeing the police. Separated my left shoulder, tendons torn in three places, concussion, seven brusied ribs, dislocated thumb, burst blood vessels in both my eyes, and more bruises than I can count.
It happened on the 4th, was in the ICU until thursday and just got released today.
I will be going into surgery for my torn left shoulder on the 20th, if I get clearance as I had a slight infection as of yesterday.
But all in all I am lucky, the guy who hit me is no longer alive. My insurance is on top of the situation, I should have a new truck by the 1st.
Anyway, I did not want anyone to think I forgot them...you all are my extended friends and I miss hanging out here!

Damn Rel, I had wondered where you had disappeared to! You have got to be the unluckiest man alive.... or the luckiest since you keep walking away from all these nasty situations  Look after yourself mate, we will still be here. And good luck in your surgery. |

Thanks all. I am thinking my earlier dealings with that sith witch and my own slipping into the dark side for a handful of years is coming back to remind me that I still have long chains of sin to carry. But agreed, lucky to walk away from a handful of ugly issues. I just a got a letter yesterday that said I needed to show back up in Mexico to testify again but due the surgery and accident I do not have to go. Thank goodness. All in all I am relatively happy, healthy, and hopeful that this is the end of my being tested this year  |

Logos... if this girl is a new employee I would suggest backing off a bit and start slow. Get to know about her first in friendship and check out if perhaps she is already in a committed relationship. Also is there the potential for more than an initial physical attraction. Dating gone wrong in a work place can make things difficult and you both have reputations to protect. Darn, just lost a ton of points.

Appreciate the caution. She has been here longer than me. I'm fuzzy on why she was on 1st shift, but glad I was able to meet her. We've talked a considerable amount over the last couple of months. Despite being physically attractive, this aspect of her is not forefront on my mind. She is not even my type. She is petite, where I normally go for 'curvy.' She is very into tattoos, and I'm hopeful that the stud in her lip is the only obsure piercing she has, which I am normally not into. She is 10 yrs my junior. I don't normally give chase for anything more than 2 years younger than me. On the up-side, she kinda looks like a blonde Natalie Portman with Olivia Wilde's eyes. She's good conversation. As far as the tats that I've seen, they are at least an artistic expression, which is more than I can say for the majority of people. As far as the relationship goes, I've factored that. I have a friend that brings up her boyfriend at least once a day. That tells me he isn't going away anytime soon. My girl has never once mentioned a boyfriend. This tells me that she either doesn't have one, or is not happy with the one she's got. I've already been burned once by an office romance, but I'm optimistic. She works in the shop, and I work in the office without position of authority, so I'm safe in that regard. Besides, physical relationships are pointless in my eyes without a mental connection. |

As a tattooed woman myself, I can tell you that often, regardless of if it is obvious or not, tattoos are very personal to the wearer. Perhaps you can ask her about hers? It's a nice conversation starter. Even if a tattoo seems to be "just for looks" to the public, it may have deep meaning to the one who bears it. I have a few that are often mistaken for "she got that because it looks cool." No, I didn't.  10 years doesn't sound like a horrid age gap to me. I've dated a man 9 years my senior and we had a fantastic relationship. Mind you, my husband is only 3 years older than me, but his age was not a factor in our relationship and I can't see that it would have been, had the gap been wider. Just be yourself. Be casual. Be nice. Chicks dig it. |
