Thanks !  One of my fav's.  Have a black panther in the jungle one as well.  They actually help encourage any saber/weapons practice inside my apartment which has limited space for unhampered movement.

It's quiet on the Forum so I'll slip this one in.  Can't get rid of that flash no matter what angle I approach this, without my dining room lights getting in the photo.  I hung this huge heavy frame all by myself... likely heavier than any sword.

The big 2 handed swords weighed in at about 7 lbs at the heaviest and 2 to 3 lbs was the norm for other swords.

That's a cool picture.

7 pounds doesn't seem like that much until you have to carry it around with you wherever you go, and then fight with it.

Holy Crap, that Katana with the Blue Saya....I had that sword too.  It was actually my first "Sharp"...come a long way since then in terms of quality and knowledge.  I actually broke it...snapped it abouyt 10 inches down from the tip.  After staring at the 2 pieces for 30 minutes..I got my grinder and made a short sword and a dagger

Yeah it was a standard style in different colors...20 years ago.  Pretty much just been sitting in my closet since then. I think it was my second or third sharp.  The single hand at the top was first. Plus a buddy and I used to duel with it so the whole blade is chipped to heck. lol

Just saw this thread for the first time. Anyway I'm not a big knife collector but I bet much like my daily pocket knife, always have it on me. I bought is at a NRA show about 15 plus years ago. It is a Osborne designed Benchmade. This was back when the assist opening blades first started coming out and the has that. But the cool thing is that it isn't a spring but a tension rod inside the knife. And if you want you can take it the rod and make it just a regular folder. I love it!

BRW, how are the laws regarding knives over there in the US in general?

In Germany the regulations just s.., err, 'lack quite a bit':
One-handed folders with locking mechanism are not allowed, so you have to decide whether you want a simple one-handed knife (without any kind of frame lock etc) OR a two-handed folder with lock.
Guess how many of the 'cooler' knives are permitted ....

Every state has different laws.  On average though there aren't many if any restrictions on what type of knives you can own and carrying on your person is usually regulated to no longer than 3 inches.  Then there is Texas which has recently lifted the restriction on blade length allowing the open carry of larger knives and even swords.

Well, although I'm not comfortable around guns, the part 'open carry a sword' sounds like Texas would be an ideal place to cosplay as Geralt/Witcher
