The single person spinning was really very well done, points to both of you.  I find it more fun to dual wield 24" blades, and add in some acrobatics, as I often hit myself dual wielding 36" and moving around to much.  I really have to upload a few spinning videos, I'll get on that.

Again, you guys show what it means to possess the title of Master. But I want to ask: What are each of your favorite forms?

The dual wielding was great! Very fluid and natural.

And I don't know why, but I was able to see Artorius switch between the forums his combo video. Maybe because I'm watching more and more of the forums videos posted by you guys as well as the Terra Prime videos too.

Having a great time and learning a lot.

The switches are at about the 9 and 20 second marks.  Shii-Cho being the initial broad sweeping strikes, Soresu being the defensive whirling wall of blade and Vaapad being the swift pressing attacks at the end.  The transitions are very fluid, but the styles are different enough to stand out when he changes.

Good call Xanedan.  I quite like that video, since the styles are different enough that you can see the changeover pretty clearly... although the switch is still very fluid!

@Solinus - As far as favorite forms go, mine is Makashi (my fencing background makes it natural for me).  I won't speak for Artorius, but I'd say he tends toward Soresu as his main form.

I actually did the Shien Ataru video and the reason I did it that way was because I was making a Shien video.  it just so happened that when we examined it that the most obvious form in it was Ataru.  So the focus is more on Shien and it just so HAPPENS to be an Ataru style.

My favorite form (as should be pretty obvious from my videos) is Soresu.  I'm fairly good at making the different moves flow together no matter where they are.  Plus it fits my lifestyle and philosophies.

Cheers.

I was gonna say Soresu, but I figured I'd let you post Wink

We figured the two Ataru styles would be neat to watch side by side.  Gives you an example of our different approaches.

One thing I noticed was that my Djem So was rather exhausting... I later realized this was because I typically use Djem So to manipulate the opponent's blade, but with no blade there to stop my momentum I had to exert extra energy to stop the saber myself.  With all the force I was putting into my blows, it was quite intensive!

Man oh man those were some rockin vids! Way to go guys! I'm calling my brother right now to get his sloth moving arse to hurry up and get his converter card for the video camera. I wanna make some videos too and seeing these master pieces makes me crave it even more! Love the Makashi style Nero, very quick and fluid, but I really didn't expect anything less  Smiley

Artorius, you are very talented sir! Your repitoire of moves and styles is damn cool... and I applaud you.

Keep up the good work, fella's!
