I couldn't read all 100+ pages so these ideas may have been listed already.
It surprises me that no one wants to see a blaster pistol. I for one would love a "working" blaster pistol. Maybe craft an ultra realistic body from aluminum and resins, and insert NERF gun parts to launch a dart that has an LED and a single button cell. The dart would glow as it sailed through the air and they are traveling slow enough that you could, in theory, "block" it with your saber. Perhaps you could include a "kill switch" so when it impacts something the LED turns off.
Even while I'm typing this my head is flooded with possibilities, transient nodes of thought cascading into a waterfall of imagination!
Also I like the idea of fully custom hilts. Sending in a design with all specs included, or perhaps you could require it to be in CAD format already. You could send back a "blueprint" of the custom design, and once everyone agrees on the final product pricing could be worked out based on material and complexity of design.
The ideas keep coming!
The Emerald Driver is amazing, I would like to see it offered as a stand alone item. You could purchase and install it in your own sabers or update your current US saber with the Emerald driver. IDK how the Emerald driver works, I assume it is larger and that may be impossible and I would understand.

Sorry to be a buzz kill, Dragonrider, but those ideas are pretty expensive for US and unlikely to happen. They used to do custom jobs but it was uneconomical so now its the usual supply-and-demand business model. Blaster pistol: cool, but again (expensive) not really a popular idea from a saber specialist. Good idea for a hobby-est though. If you want the Emerald Driver by itself, you are able to email US and request it, though (there are a few threads with the details) US does not do support for installation, so that part is up to you. Don't let me deter you from coming up with more good ideas, though your next idea could be the one that takes off!

This may be interesting for you to understand the Emerald Driver. It can theoretically be used in any saber, but if you want to combine it with the Obsidian soundboard, be aware that only the wider (and more expensive) hilts are able to house it. So when emailing Emory, tell him what saber you want to upgrade and whether it has sound or not.

No worries, my buzz is hard to kill! Complex, yes. Expensive, not necessarily. I can absolutely see the price tag skyrocketing as you start adding features, but they could offer a "stunt" blaster as well as a fully working one with sound, and light up darts. The basic aluminum wouldn't be that expensive, you wouldn't need the "aircraft grade" aluminum (Most "aircraft grade" aluminum is grade 2024, if anyone cares {if you want to get really technical aluminum grades run from 1xxx up to 8xxx and they don't necessarily get harder or stronger as you go up the scale}) because they wouldn't be taking direct hits, also poly-resins are cheap and durable, depending on the type of resin, some are impact resistant. That being said, I believe it is right up there ally. As of yet US is just a saber store, however, there is no reason this wouldn't fit in there business model. Like you said supply-and-demand. I have passed this idea around in my community and believe me, there is a demand. They already possess the metal smithing equipment to produce turned handles, claws, round and elongated holes, threading, and electrolytic passivation (anodizing) which when applied in thicker coatings becomes porous and will accept dyes readily. They already have the technology, and it would lock down a niche market. Every business needs to evolve or get left behind… EVERY business. Even Pizza Hut had to make more than pizza to survive. Would you tell them not to make pasta or chicken wings because they are a pizza shop? It's the same here, just because they make awesome lightsabers doesn't mean they can't make awesome other stuff, too. Don't get me wrong, I understand where your coming from. It would take a lot of logistics to make it happen and obviously if would be a first so there would be some bugs to work out. I believe where there is a will, there is a way, and US has A LOT of will!

I had already read all about the Emerald Driver (I may have missed a few things) Its good to know they do offer it separately. I'm a DIY kind of guy, so installing it myself would be no problem. I would like to know the exact dimensions needed for the Emerald driver both with and without sound. I would like to see the Monarch with Emerald and sound, but from what you said I would assume it is not wide enough.

From what I've noticed so far, the saber must have a ID of at least 1.5"-1.6" to house both the driver and the soundboard. Sabers with a lower ID can only hold either the driver or the soundboard. And yes, the Monarch has a special shape which might make it impossible to use both sound and the Emerald driver in it.

Theory? I've blocked Nerf... I don't do reliably yet, but I've blocked Nerf.

I used to have one posted somewhere back in the day... it even included the taunt, "You shoot like a Stormtrooper!" Good times...

Look, good against Nerf darts is one thing. Good against the living? That's something else. I would like to see Ultrasabers bring out a scabbard that you could use to carry your saber over your back. Maybe something like this...

dunno if it's been mentioned yet, but what about an AV switch for emerald Sabers which matches the blade colour?

Was thinking about that too, would require an rgb switch though, not logistically sure that's been done before, would be really cool though!

Maybe something like this... I second this idea! I have a broadsword with a scabbard attachment that can make it hang at your waist like normal or can be slung across your shoulder to have the blade on your back. I'll try to get some pics up. Its a pretty cool system that buckles abound the scabbard and can be removed in a heart beat. I never would have thought of using it for a lightsaber. Good idea Brian64!

I dont think that would be possible, think about how large the rgb diod is, it wouldn't fit in an av switch. A black anodized av switch would be really cool though, to match the black hilts (or contrast the silver)
