Agreed SFD. It's been a while since I've seen you around.
Yeah, I spent some time doing other things, and trying some of the other guys. But, I'm back with US 'cause I love the sabers, the prices and the lead times. Plus, I find the shipping rates to be reasonable here, and I've been taking advantage of some of the recent DOTD and flash sales. (who doesn't love a sale?) That's why I'd like to see some tweaks and whatnot to the Obsidian board. Six fonts is plenty for me (in fact I'm thinking of getting a V3 for a sound upgrade soon) but I'd like to see other areas get improved. Flicker is a cool thing and it makes the blades look closer to the OT sabers, and blaster blocks are just fun.  |

if you know anything much about the Rebels cartoon, the Spectre is based off of the saber of Kanan Jarrus, he happens to be a blind Jedi. why I say the irony, and a relatable character. |

I was actually thinking now BlineJedi and Spectre myself  But as for the others, the Fulcrum/Lost Gray is loosely based on Ahsoka's Clone Wars lightsaber, the bigger length saber, Graflex Anakin Skywalker/Luke Skywalker/Rey lightsaber, Omen Sword of Omens from Thundercats basically, its kind of emitter end heavy so be careful there, I tried one in person 2 years ago, nice feeling hilt though, a Shock emitter would look sweet on that I think =] Catalyst is sleek streamlined basically at least that's how I see that saber. I hope i described those sabers properly Oh and Electrum Wind is loosely based on Mace Windu's Attack Of The Clones/Revenge Of The Sith lightsabers as well. But I feel that one could go either way really =] Blazing Red, black av switch, chamfered grips, black pommel for a Sith look  Dorinian is Plo Koon inspired as well, I think you asked about that one. Its actually dead close to Plo's lightsaber really, if you do the original with I think a red bottom button and silver top button? Then a nice av switch to cover the rest of the saber |

Then a nice av switch to cover the rest of the saber pretty sure he wants a more verbal description of how the saber looks. the switch box, emitter, hilt, pommel so he can mentally imagine how it would feel in his hands. so a slanted emitter with optional vertical windows, the smooth cylindrical body w/ optional engraving. |

I'm not going back to re-read the whole thread again, but I want a Dominix V4 emitter on a Dominix V3 body. Basically a "V5" with the choke points of the V3 and the emitter of the V4. While the V4 looks better, I find that the V3's slanted choke points make it handle better. And I'll take functional over pretty any day. But if I could have both....

^^^True that, actually like this design idea =] Maybe at least bottom half of a V4 though. But how about a Ben Solo Jedi lightsaber? This we need for sure I know most of everyone would order it all canon colors though with either blue blades basically. I know you could always order a Flamberge without the side emitters too though as well |

Another idea I had is a shorter vented coupler. The couplers that Ultrasabers offers look good, I'm particularly fond of the flush and QR couplers, but both add significant length to a hilt. Trying to do something like Darth Maul's hilt with the available options and a the Menace is a bust if you want sound, as it won't look like Maul's saber with a 1.75" flush coupler in the middle. I propose a coupler that's 1/4 an inch or shorter in the unthreaded area, but still vented for sound with some smaller vents. The sound won't be as loud, but the trade off would be a shorter hilt for a double blade and a more realistic look for something like Maul's staff. The V2 coupler is an example of what it could look like, as the unthreaded area is roughly 1/4 an inch and there are small holes on both sides.
