Suggestion Box/Wishlist: what do we want from Ultrasabers?

That's why they're called forum colors. They're something you have to be a member of the forum and find to buy. It's one of the perks of forum membership.

So...when you say...find and buy....How do you mean?   I would LOVE a DVA quick disconnect(as opposed to a diamond or emerald)....as well as a SY.....Are you saying there is a way to order those?

Here you go:

These are the five "Forum" colors. They are all variations of colors available to the public.



DVA - Made by tuning a VA to a more indigo.

BH - I think it's made by tuning a VA to make it MAGENTA. (Sorry for the caps but you can argue with me all day about what color it is, so if you don't believe me google magenta.)

Pyrestone Orange - Made with red and green courtesy of an RGB led (much like Violet Amethyst is made with red and blue).  Blood Orange, Red Orange, w/e you want to call it, it looks like FO with more red.

Sentinel Yellow – Another mix of red and green with an RGB led, but this one turns out yellow.  Golden Yellow, really IDK how i'm supposed to describe it and not sound biased.......because i am.  It's just yellow and it's awesome.

Emerald Green – A mix of green and blue, essentially a modification of Sunriders Destiny with a higher resistance on the blue diode to give a greener hue.


These five colors can be ordered very easily.

First - When you are making your color selection, you MUST choose one of the "Premium" 5$ extra Colors. Such as, Violet Amethyst (VA), Arctic Blue (AB), Sunrider's Destiny (SRD), etc...

Second - There is a $5 ADDITIONAL charge for "Forum Only" colors.  Purchase a quantity of 5 (so $5) in requisitions charges from here: http://www.ultrasabers.com/product-p/requisitioncharge.htm

Third - After you have made your selections and are ready to check out move to the checkout page. Here you will find a small box labeled "Order Comments", specify IN HERE that you would like to have the color chosen changed to W/E color you write in the box.

Don't forget HP - Hot pink, red/blue mix with more blue in it than BH so it comes out looking much more neon and a little brighter.

Hot pink is the top Sentinel and bottom one is BH which is darker more Magenta as Infinit said.  Lastly here is my HP cheat pic of my Dark Arbiter (set my Diamond controller to imitate hot pink and then stuck the other end into the Dark Arbiter to fill a spot on the Hilt and Blade color gallery: http://www.saberforum.com/index.php?topic=15681.0

I really like the hot pink and you're right, it's more neon than anything but that's one of the reasons why I like it.  That Dark Arbiter is pretty sick in hot pink as well.  Have a point

Oh, I know, if you really want a wide range of color get an Emerald, or Diamond board.
Which brings me to my suggestion.
I think US should remove the Emerald with sound option from their lineup.  I mean they have the Diamond controller now, that kind of fills the same spot, but better.  If the Emerald with sound option was removed, maybe the Diamond option could be dropped in price to fill the same slot.

Because the Diamond board isn't very user friendly. Emerald still has a purpose for those that still like things simple. Also, Emerald can still be used on its own w/o sound, so for the time being it still has a place in the market.

I suggest making the Diamond board easier to use. Like in the same way sound fonts are changed with a button press on the Obs V4. It would be nice to be able to tie a color mix to a sound font, and the be able to cycle through them without all the complex movements.

Having to connect it every time you want to change colors is a pain. 2 cards when you get it with sound... that's enough said right there - 2 cards. Not space efficient. There are even some hilts that don't offer Emerald w/Sound because of the internal space and 2 cards. If I could get a do-over on that purchase, I'd choose the Diamond over the Emerald w/sound.

I can sort of see your point of view D Logos, and maybe just offer the Emerald w/o sound, but the Diamond is superior in every way.

And there's not enough of a price difference between Emerald w/Sound and Diamond to say it's more economical.

My point exactly. The ObsV4 took no practice. Hold the AV from the OFF state to activate, press to cycle fonts, hold AV to confirm. And yes, two boards does suck. I really wanted color change and sound in a Proph, but I really don't want Diamond. I also wanted it in a Renegade, but Emerald can't handle the load, but Diamond can. My gripe about the DB is that it should require complex movements to do its job. A simple button press should suffice. Plus, honestly, unless you're just showing off abilities, when else are you going to need to really need a rapid color change. Now in the case of Project:BOOYA!, rapid color change was a bonus. It allows me to go from BR to GB or VA, instantly allowing for photo ops.
