The A Wing is sweet. I'd also recommend an X-Wing to accompany it, if you don't already have one, and the Z-95 is actually a really wicked model.

The X-Wing is SWEET, but a bit more than I can justify spending on a "toy" right now. Though it's still on my list of stupid purchases for the year.

It's still a beautiful ship. The new designs haven't surpassed it in any way. Point.

So Malevolence is built, but I won't be able to get any pics of the whole shebang until tomorrow. In the meantime, here are some cellphone pics of construction:

Nice score, Gold Leader! I got one of those.... probably sometime in the '04 to '06 range. Picked it up brand spanking new at a train show for I forget how much. I think that was the first set I actually saved the box from. lol Still one of my faves! I have Tinn's Delta Seven right next to it on my shelf and they look great together. One of the few models where the update and the original both look correct without making each other look off. And they're almost exactly the same size to boot! Plus, the Delta Seven is probably my favorite Prequel Fighter. She's just a slick bird, no two ways about it.

The Delta-7 was one of those sets I HAD TO HAVE when I was young, I loved it in the movies! Also because Obi-wan was my favorite jedi since I was 4 and was captivated by him in ep. I in 1999, having never seen him as a young jedi; so when episode II came out, I had to have it! But again I wasn't at the age yet where I appreciated the value of keeping the sets intact long after I built themXP I always wanted to make some creation of my own out of the parts.
When Battlefront came out (I have mentioned this game like 8 times in this forum!! ) that was an all time favorite of mine as well, Along with the Y-wing , with its gold color scheme and killing power it was also a favorite hence the name GOLDleaderXP but the Delta-7 was a clone wars favorite! And I certainly agree, I love the yellow clonewars version of anakin's delta-7, but no, it doesnt even compare to the original. The others they have come out with are cool, but they dont look as quality.

the Mavolence turned out a whole lot better than I expected!!! It looked kind of dinky on the pictures on the box but this actually looks pretty cool in real life!!!!
I see some similarity in the interior as my Republic Star Destroyer cruiser XP
this ship looks really solid though for being one of the bigger ones!!
and yes, the clonewars designers went thruster overkill indeed, but hey, look at the Nebulon B frigates or the Tantive:P  A very detailed ship! Definitely not to scale with the minifigs but thats understandable..XP

Im a big Lego fan, mainly star wars these days. I just finished building the Fury Class Interceptor, which comes with probably the coolest mini-fig out right now, Darth Malgus. It went up on the shelf with Millennium Falcon, X-wing, A-wing, TIE fighter, and a whole bunch of other smaller sets. I'm considering the Death Star as my next one, 400 bones is a little steep though.
