I think I'm gonna get one of these. I'm getting a shock for my primary saber since it's also got sound, and I'll be picking up a grab bag saber just to see what I get out of it. But I'd like a prophecy just to be the showcase of my new collection.
I just can't decide what color the blade should be :/

Okay, I just gotta chime in on that. Mind you, I LOVE the Prophecy.  Before I got my Ultrasabers, I did my share of time with FX's and some Plastics. My mainstays were ALWAYS either Anakin or Vader. The trick to holding and fighting with a saber that has that box in the middle of it, if your style allows, is to get your middle two fingers gripped on the clamp (that raised band around the middle) and hook your thumb over the top of the box. The thumb gives you grip and control, and it actually helps for stability through certain spins. This also leaves your end fingers gripping above and below the raised band on the hilt, giving further grip. You also still have enough room to go two-handed by putting the second hand down on the grips. Works like a charm. That said, if anyone is afraid to buy an LE Prophecy and do it over to a Vader.... use the above and you ought to be able to fight with it just fine. Who knows, you might even discover a new trick or two of your own.  |
