Personally, I think it would have been better if you had just asked me why I think Nightwing would win and leave out the part about me, because frankly, I found it a bit insulting. I know you don't mean to cause harm, but it happens quite a bit, and I think if you could just work on being less blunt, it would benefit us all. No harsh feelings, but I figured I would just point that out.
As for why I think Nightwing would win, it's simply because of his resourcefulness and his tenacity in battle. I remember reading one comic in which Batman sends Nightwing off on a suicide mission... and Nightwing manages to not only survive, but also takes back control of an entire prison. He also beat up Slade Wilson. Even if Spiderman did beat him, Nightwing would just come back with a new weapon or strategy to beat him. It's similar to how Batman got utterly demolished by Bane, only to come back and take him down.
The reason why I mentioned the Bat Family is because, let's face it, if Nightwing lost a second time, he can just call for backup. Is this unfair for him to do? No, it isn't. Why? Because Spiderman is a meta-human. Besides, realistically, the Bat Family would want revenge either way. Together, they would be able to take Spidey down. You've got Tim Drake's strategic mind, Batman's gadgets, and let's not forget about Cassandra Cain, who is the greatest martial artist in the DC Universe, AND has a sixth sense that works in the same way as Spidey's spider sense.
The final verdict? Hard to say. Have we ever actually seen these two duke it out? No. If Spiderman won, fine, he won, but he would easily get his butt kicked later by the Bat Family. He still won the initial bout though. If Nightwing won, great, he won. We can debate this all day, but until someone actually makes an official comic, it's all just talk.
This. The Bat Family always backs up their members, and they would be prepared to avenge Nightwing. Spider-Man would have a huge problem on his hands! However, within the limits of an all-out death match that's do or die with no prior planning Spider-Man would be the victor. But if the limits were expanded, Nightwing would have a much better chance.  I really like your loyalty, Hobbit. You're showing us how to be a true fan! |

You do make a good point. But you forget one thing. Spider-Man has friends as well. In fact he has AMAZING FRIENDS. Plus because of the events of Spder Island. He got trained by Shang Chi. The deadly hands of Kung Fu. Not only but they made a whole new fighting style for him. Based on his wall crawling. Now Night Wing isn't a chump either. But neither would take a live. They were both die before taking a life of a good man. Thats my two cents.

I'm pretty sure Batman would already know about Spider-Man's friends and all of their weaknesses. He's beaten each member of the Justice League before with his knowledge! Although, that was with several weeks of prior planning, but that just makes the fight even more interesting because both sides have their own advantages! We should all write a comic book series about this encounter! |
