Ever thought of adding electronics to the Holocrons? Like just LED lights and such? Would be a cool idea. Or is the material too thin to hallow out to add the electronics? Its was just a thought though. Then I would have to get me a Jedi Holocron. Lol.

They are hollowed out already with a hole in the bottom in case you would like to add it. It can't be added by shapeways though.

I've been working on such a project although I havent been able to get to it. If you look threw his shop and see the holocron sides they where made to fit on a baseball cube it has nust enough room for all the electronics including light a sound board batterys and a speaker.
Someday I'll get it done.

I was actually thinking of getting one and doing LED string light style so they light up in sequence on all sides. That'd be awesome. But like to where you could plug it into a wall for a night light. I might try this for sure. Like if you do the triangle holocron all 3 sides would light up kinda like an FX lightsaber how they kinda crawl. I'll just have to figure out voltage for something like that and such.

Also how about the aquatic breather? Then you'll be completed for sure. Lol. I plan to finish up my Obi-wan ROTS costume here soon. Movie style pouches from ebay, set of energy/food capsules, gonna have to be from Jedi Robe though, comm link, then I'll be set and ready for Rebel Legion possibly. =] Just gotta keep at it with my beard. Lol. My hair actually naturally forms like Obi-wan's does which is weird and which is probably why some people always calls me Obi-wan. So back on topic, would the aquatic breather be too difficult to pull off or is that in the works already?

Added one of Sedsti's shrouds and a new brass covertech onto my customized AEON v3. The shroud is a bit grainy so I'll probably do some more fine sanding and a few more coats of paint. This was my first pass. I'll upload more pics once I get it completely finished. (I also have a Sedsti's 3d printed button cover installed).




You can really see the grainy texture in this pic. I will fix this will some fine sanding and a few more layers of Krylon and clear coating.

New Blade Plug Designs Now Available

Blade Plug 19 was inspired by my Holo Comm central ring design. It has the segmented regions with holes that allow light to shine through, and a vented center from which light can illuminate the central ring. The above model was printed in Polished Metallic Plastic, and can be found here: http://shpws.me/wqOb

Blade Plug 20 was inspired by the classic Gralfex style blade plug design. It has the familiar center post in a sloped feature leading toward the center, but has the addition of slats around the post for illumination. I just want to thank everyone that is sharing their models here. It is really something special to me to see my designs come to life and being used by others. That is the reason I do this and so far I have had a blast.

New Emitter Shroud Design

Emitter Shroud 8

Emitter Shroud 8 is the latest shroud design by Sedsti Skyfaller Designs. It features a menacing front face design with details that extend around the entire body of the shroud. The billed extension off the top acts as a hand guard from the blade and adds character to the saber. The above pictures show the model printed in Black Strong and Flexible nylon plastic, but it is available in several different colors.
