yes, some of the LED's are a bit loose by hilt size variations...nothing major.

Just would have made more sense to put a set screw in it. I have to make sure the blade is pushed against the LED to keep it from rattling. This probably isn't good on the wires.

Hi.  You want the blade to be in secured contact with the LED housing.  Just don't tighten the set screw overly firm.  Did you purchase a blade plug ?  You got a really nice gb saber.  I usually get blue or green and never a red blade.  Still waiting on that one for my surprise saber.

I got the plug but to keep the LED "seated" I have to push the plug in so far the blade set screw hits about 1/8" from the top edge of it.

I'm SO happy with what I got. I left the color and everything up to them. I ordered a UE heavy blade but emailed them and had them send whatever blade looked best with the color they picked. So since I got a red saber I got the heavy  normal blade. Even though they were working cons they did a fantastic job communicating with me.

That is a great grab bag.  Congratulations!  And getting a lightside hilt with a red blade is pretty cool too.  I would have expected that to come with a blue or green LED.

Hi again.  Yes, I have that happen with an occasional saber as well.  Nothing you can do about the blade plug situation unless you can be creative and glue something to the metal top to increase the plug length.  Or make your own longer one with some plastic or polycarbonate tubing.  Suggest looking at sedstiskyfaller's  3d print shop creations.  There's a lot of really good SW and saber related items.

so ive just placed an order for my very first ultrasaber. i figured id see the quality and stuff before i go all out on one, so i got a grab bag saber with sound and i got a phantom initiate v2 stuntsaber. im super stoked for them to arrive, but in the meantime im kinda researching up on some of the other hilts and colors. any reccomendations for a good hilt?

Decondemon, I'm very fond of the styling of the Catalyst series. I have a Dark Catalyst, and it looks AMAZEBALLS with a red blade. A silver Catalyst would look excellent with blue, green, and I think I saw one review with purple that looked GREAT. It's a very streamlined hilt with a chokepoint that's excellent for a one-handed grip. I also own a Dominix LE v3. It's a good, solid workhorse saber which I got as my grab-bag last year when I ordered my Dark Catalyst. It's got an Adegan Silver blade, which is great as well. The colour disks are OK, but I just got a RoscoLux swatch-book and I'm probably gonna cut a few of them up just to goof around.
I'm also prospecting the Bellicose as my next (unless there's a Mace Windu-influenced 'saber in the works). It'd probably look great with any colour blade, which is why I'm leaning toward the Emerald Driver.

I agree whole heartedly with the above comments , i would also like to add that a 6 day from order to receiving my sabers in Australia is absolutely amazing . i have purchased things form 200kms away from where i live and waited 3 weeks for delivery of floor stock , well done Ultrasabers . i purchased 2 grab bag sabers for my girlfriend and myself and we are STOKED these were purchased to be cosplay props but we cant help dueling now ( even to the point of deceding who cooks dinner with duels ) we love our grab bags (standard issue in consular green / Dark sentinel V4 in guardian blue).

I have just recently ordered my first (hopefully of many) Ultrasaber from the Grab Bag and am eagerly awaiting its arrival.  I hope to have pictures and possibly a video review when it arrives.

gb is a great way to intro the product, for the price you get a feel of the quality and the fun of not knowing whats going to show up.

from there chose something you're going to be happy with. stunt, prop, display. I doubt there is one with any regret purchasing this way.

I think this is a great way to tinker without screwing up a $300-400 saber. I'm super new in the saber world, but really look forward to constructing my own. It's entirely possible to retrofit your saber after purchase. The project tends to be kinda expensive, though. There are very few hilts US would sell that are incompatible with their Obsidian board -- if any, at all. Emory and his crew were great when I asked for a table of expenses and how to go about it. Alternately, just flip through the "Build Your Own" section of their website and price the bits 'n' pieces out for yourself. Just remember to get a "Vented" pommel if your saber doesn't come with one, or the speaker will blow itself out or something.
