Nnnnnno, I didn't say that. I was talking about shipping it back to US to have them do it. Insofar as DIY, that is outside my expertise, but there are a bunch of people more confident in their soldering skills than I, so maybe one of them will pipe up. @Cayde Sanor- Even the smaller v4s can have the works. I have a Dark Initiate V4 with emerald and 4v sound. It all fits snug. Not cramped but no room beyond that.
They mount the boards to the speaker/battery assembly. Just the sound should be no problem.
The disconnect is for LED modules only. And there are some restrictions to that I can't remember. I got them on my last saber but it is getting gut swapped soon.
They do not offer quick disconnect for sound. And I think they only sell the v3 last I looked.
The costs are justified. If you're not capable of doing the wireing yourself.
There are threads on the forum that that have all of the info you may need. From simple, well, as simple as you can make it, to fairly technical. Wiring diagrams can be found.
Try the forum search or browse around the technical forums. I found tons of info on the ins and ins of the sabers. From stunt to the full package.
I hope this helps you out some.

I just want to thank Emory and Ultra, and everyone at US!!! I love my saber and I'm going to take it tonight to see the movie again in Imax 3d.
I'll take some pictures as well. My next grab bag will be after the new year. I have pictures in the gallery already.

How long does it typically take for a grab bag saber to get processed? I ordered one on Saturday night, a d I haven't gotten any emails about it. Does it take longer to process right after a holiday(I expect it will would, seeing as another star wars movie was released as well as Christmas), or do grab bag sabers take a little longer? I'm curious, but I totally understand that it would take a while right now. I'm just so ready for a freakin light saber, I cannot contain my dueling hype!

In closing: Direct purchases are the main course. Grab Bags are samples or desserts. Don't confuse the two and you'll be happy with your hobby.
Returning to the realm of chaos, this is Blue signing out.
This is exactly what I am doing. Loved the idea of US when I found the site, but getting a saber with sound, emerald blade and all the other goodies was a little bit much. I have ordered a grab bag to get a feel for the product quality and a place to start. That being said, I've read the forum, looked at reviews and read all 150ish pages of the massive grab bag thread, from this I've arrived at one conclusion/feeling after it all. Hope. You lot here and the honesty of it all makes me look forward to my first and hopefully not last saber. |

First time buyer here as well. I got a Dominix V4 Le as a christmas gift and now ordered a grab bag for the wife in purple. Looks like a combination of the holidays and the movie has really hit US hard. Hopefully we get some cool hilts as a result |

Very well put, Blue! I have several grab bag sabers and I have not been disappointed with any other them, it was a grab bag saber that made me really like the color SRD, I'd never really considered it before I got it on a grab bag and saw it in person, looks great with a UE blade! The same can be said of the DSI, I had never really thought about getting one and I've gotten two as grab bags (one with vertical grooves and one without) and now I'm really fond of the hilt. A grab bag is a great way to find a hilt that you might like that you hadn't really considered getting before, same with blade colors.
I'm not getting a grab bag yet. I've decided on a sentinel in SRD. I see you really liked the SRD as well. What type of blade are you using? I've heard the ultra edge looks great with it so that was the plan. I plan on going grab bag for a second saber and getting a heavy blade with it for dueling. Thanks for your insight. |

I placed an order recently an it was a grab bag however I'm mildly upset; I could only find one option on the site in the all products section of the site stating grab bag. But I'm pretty sure I just ordered blades I really just wanted to see if the reviews were true on the saber's. As well now the site is giving me issues with logging on yet still sends me emails to the registered email I used. Very frustrating I wanted to order a saber an if I loved it which I'm sure I would I would definitely invest further. But if this order goes the way it appears with the combination of difficulty to navigate the site it hurts to say but perhaps I should consider another supplier. Which trust
