Seriously? These ARE the small claws? They're still so big! I still love both my 2nd place prize and my entry. The Malice is definitely my largest saber, I really need to get the Square pommel cause I'm not really diggin the Round one. But Blazing Red with Violet Amethyst flash is a great combo!

I got a Malice as a first place prize in the First Winter Raffle at the end of December.  It has a 2 channel Emerald driver current set to Blazing Red.  You aren't kidding about the weight!  My Malice came with a 32" standard heavy grade blade and the square pommel.  Whether the blade length is 32", 36", or 40", I would advise using only heavy grade blades with the Malice to balance the weight of the hilt.

I think there was a drop down for switch type if I remember correctly, but I was just cheap and didn't spend the extra 25 for a better switch. Keep in mind that if you just order one of their AV switches separately, it will not fit in the standard switch hole and you'll have to drill it out to size.

I'm going to get another heavy grade blade for my Scorpion.  It's another heavy hilt that would benefit from a heavier blade.  I'll get that blade at a 32" length because 36" is too long when the hilt is clipped to my belt especially when the covertec wheel is mounted right next to the pommel.  The tip of the 36" blade drags on the floor.  I'm working on a scabbard alternative for the hilts with covertec wheels mounted by the pommel.  With a scabbard mounted to my belt instead of the hilt, I can use the longer blades without the blade tip dragging on the floor.  I may still want to limit the blade length to 32" though because my arm reach is just not quite long enough to draw a 36" blade fully out of a scabbard clipped to my belt.  A 32" scabbard using a 1" I.D. pvc pipe and a heavy grade blade also serve as better counter-weights to the weight of some hilts like the Scorpion, Reaper, and Malice so that the hilts stay on top instead of immediately spinning around to the bottom and falling out on the floor.

Hi Ekosk.  The Prophecy v3 that you got for your nephew with the av switch.  Is it stunt or with sound?  And if stunt, how did you order with the av switch instead of the guarded?  Thanks for reply. 

EDIT:  Thanks Racona Nova.  Just scrolled down and saw his video that shows the saber with sound.  Amazing gift for his nephew.  Also the 4th place prize dark Prophecy looks a little different at emitter end.  And didn't Ekosk mention a different speaker?  Better grab my first coffee of day and all will make sense.

I'm pretty sure it's with sound because in his signature the stunt sabers have the addition "stunt" behind the name.

You're welcome! Yes sir, those are the small claws. The large claws have a thicker outer silver groove on the claws. Check out the Malice photos on the US site and you can check out the difference between the two. I like the small claws better. When I purchase mine, I will be getting the small claws the a 40" Heavy Grade blade in Blazing Red, silver activation box with red illuminated AV switch and the regular square pommel. I want it to resemble exactly like Darth Malgus saber on the video game SWTOR.

The round pommel is nice. I will be purchasing that pommel too but, I will be using the round Malice pommel for my Bellicose.

Dude I guarantee you won't be disappointed in the Malice. But I do recommend a heavy grade blade, ultra edge or normal it doesn't matter. It is a huge saber, heavy and malicious!

A quick update on the Dark Prophecy: I have given it to my best friend who thought it would be cool as his first and because its the polar opposite to my first saber, the Prophecy. I've no regrets giving up a saber so freely. I even let him have a blade too!
