That's an interesting idea, but I have two arguments against its validity:

1) Giving yourself over wholly to the Force does not necessarily involve the Dark Side. Oneness is achieved by giving yourself entirely to the will of the Force.

2) The Fanged God - the Dark Side incarnate - was inherently selfish and cruel. Those are features of the Dark Side, not just of the individual.

These are true. I think the above quote was more of a perverted justification of using the Dark Side by Vergere, who once was a Jedi and later was a Sith. And using that justification to attempt to win over Jacen who more than likely had his doubts having been raised with the family that he had.
