I absolutely can NOT stand "The Wall" by Pink Floyd. Play that song if you want to see me go full Sith! The British kids with the terrible accent make me crazy.
The in-concert versions are often better than the studio album. Truthfully, even as somewhat of a Pink Floyd fan, I can't blame you for reacting that way to the studio album. Roger Waters sucked a lot of the life out of Pink Floyd as he grabbed more and more control for himself. There are other things I cannot explain here about what Waters did to the band...but diminished musicality is a big one I definitely CAN discuss. |

I also can not stand Aerosmith. That's what Steven Tyler's voice does to me. I don't like the Beatles, their music puts me to sleep.
I get crap for all of this, and also for liking Anthrax better than the other "Big Four."
I've never liked any of the big four. I've always copped crap for it. Especially because I'm a musician myself. But while I understand that the music of the big four is technically impressive. I've always felt that it lacks heart. They put so much energy into edgy sounding vocals and guitar riffs that all heart and emotion is sucked out of the lyrics and melodies. I know that music, like movies, is always subjective; there is no "right" or " wrong" opinion. That being said, all these comments surprised me. However, I fully understand everyone's reasons. Each to their own. I DJ in my spare time and know how hard it is to find a song/artist that appeals to everyone. Hard, not impossible.

Bit extreme comparing racism and genocide to hating bohemian rhapsody, but I kind of understand the sentiment. And famous people usually die in threes there's a small gap then another three die. It's weird, but it's true. |

I actually have all of them. Other than the ginormous hard back compilation. Didn't need it with all the softbacks. My favorite was the Spaceman Spiff at the beginning of the Lazy Sunday Book. Spiff and Stupendous Man were awesome. And who can forget the oh so many rules of Calvin Ball? |

I am very glad to know that once they make their destination, your family will all be well out of reach of the fires. Let us know when they make it safe.  They got home safe. I think it took em like 6 hours with the detour. So four times the usual time. The roads are packed with so much diverted traffic on top of the usual idiots... who then cause crashes and hold up more traffic. One town has been almost completely burnt to the ground while its remaining inhabitants were stuck with a fire crew trapped for ten hours on the football oval while surrounded by raging fire. There's not a whole lot left of it. That is $&%ing scary! The cool weather is helping somewhat but it is still out of control They are hoping they can get it under control before the heatstroke predicted to hit on Friday. |
