I've heard it starts out good, but goes downhill pretty quickly. I haven't watched it yet though, too scared to. Plus I'm in the middle of the Umbrella Academy, so I don't want to start a new show just now.
Well if I'm not mistake, UA is only 2 seasons in. So finish that then jump to Korra. One of the other things I like is that although there are plenty of lineage/namesake throwbacks, the story is pretty standalone. So you could watch Korra without having first seen ATLAB, and hardly miss anything. |

I can't function without breakfast. I have an hour from waking up to get fed. Otherwise I crash hard, or have trouble with judgement.
In other news, to my A:TLAB nerds: I started watching Korra over the weekend. Thus far I haven't been disappointed. I absolutely love the steam-punk/diesel-punk hybrid vibe. I also like how this world is built on top of the original, but has it's own distinct feel. I'm also liking the more grown up themes that are taking place: mainly how the lines between good and bad start to blur real easily when politics come into play.
I admit I can not remember how a felt about the first season because looking back all I can feel is the disappointment and agitation I felt at the end of it all. Now not all of it is on the creators and writers (most...but not all)...Nickelodeon really kept screwing with them. But, If you wind up enjoying more than I did....good on ya. |

Well, for the first time since early March, when the world crashed down around our ears, my oldest is back to living on campus. He's ready to get back in the groove, I'm not quite sure how I feel...emotions are most definitely mixed. Helps that the school is only about a half hour away if something comes up, though.
Oddly enough, my outstanding orders have been far from my mind these last few days, LOL.

Things will probably never be "normal" again, but getting back into familiar rhythms can definitely be a good thing. May the Dark Side be with him. Unrelated, I don't quite know what to make of this... except it's an actual sport apparently...

It guess you need some decent safety equipment for sensitive areas in order to play Quidditch. Otherwise you could go from having a fun day to a really bad one rather suddenly.
