Holy Excalibur! This is awesome! Tsubaki was always my favorite Weapon character from the series. I liked how she could change from throwing star to tanto to chain scythe to Cursed enchanted sword modes! 4 different weapons in one partner! Not even Death the Kid had partners THAT awesome, though Liz and Patty did make awesome .45's...I assume they were anyway. |

Tsubaki is a girl that gets transformed into a boy right? The Japanese anime folk sure do seem to like their character gender swapping. No Tsubaki is a girl who transforms into a weapon. The boy wielding the weapon is her Meister. That's how Soul Eater works, everyone is paired off as Weapons (those who transform into weapons of all types) and Meisters (those who handle the Weapons.) The boy wielding Tsubaki in the footage is named Black Star. That's seriously his name, Black Star. The other Meister/Weapon teams making up the main cast are Maka (Scythe handler) and Soul (Death Scythe) and the trio of Death the Kid (Death's son) and Liz & Patty (both semi-auto pistols held upside down and shot with Kid's pinkies) (Spoiler) ......and yes in the Manga there is a part where all the characters get gender swapped going through a book dealing with the 7 deadly sins when they enter Lust. Creepy to see them like that. |
