No, you're good. You're just enured to the notion that it's all fictional. not at all. i just don't find them scary or creepy. maybe i'm just immune because i've seen so many horror movies over a 30 yr period!

Horror movies hardly ever scare me. I actually get more freaked out by the realistic alien abduction ones. But horror movies? Nah, bro. The last one that scared me was "Pet Sematary" back in the day. If I'm being honest, parts of it still make me go, "NOPE."

That is exactly what "enured" means.

Just saw pet semetary the other night. Made me cry again! Yeah, he kills Herman Munster, but when the dad has to give Gage the lethal injection, as a father, chokes me up.. then, Gage's"No fair!" makes me laugh

i remember really enjoying pet semetary but wasn't creeped.out by it. Maybe because i had read the book first. (Was on a massive horror novel kick when i was a kid. Stephen king, james herbert, dean koontz etc). Still love a good horror movie (if it tries to be original and creative in the genre - like cabin in the woods, the conjuting, scream, cube)

Oh, Dean Koontz... I would love to see a proper film adaptation of one of his novels...

maybe we will. if you look at the slate of movies coming out, most have huge budgets ($100-250 million). whereas a good horror movie can be made for $10-50 million and triple its budget almost guaranteed. james waan has shown you can craft a horror movie while avoiding cliches. and seeing as how a lot of stephen king's works have already been adapted, maybe Koontz will have his time now

I watched "Odd Thomas" and it was ehhhh. There have been a few others, but they didn't do the books justice. Now, if we're talking about BOOKS that freak us out, I actually found "Cujo" to be terrifying when I was very young. It probably wouldn't scare me now, but as young animal lover back in the day, I was horrified.
