However, we all know comedy is very subjective, so you may not like it with the same fervor.

I saw the first couple of episodes, and I thought it was a poor attempt of CC trying to work another black comedy into their programming after the success of Chappelles Show(which I love!) so I stopped watching. But they are obviously doing something right cuz they are moving into mainstream media with Keanu and the commercials. Congrats to them. I like seeing the stand-up specials on CC, but I don't enjoy their programs. Feels forced, too skittish

I've only ever seen one live scorpion in my life. And I'd prefer never to see one again! Good luck dude, hope it doesn't get worse.

Uh... dude... One of two things is going on here. Either you are a complete badass or that wasn't a bark scorpion...

From Wikipedia's entry on the bark scorpion:

"The bark scorpion is the most venomous scorpion in North America, and its venom can cause severe pain (coupled with numbness, tingling, and vomiting) in adult humans, typically lasting between 24 to 72 hours. Temporary dysfunction in the area stung is common; e.g. a hand or possibly arm can be immobilized or experience convulsions. It also may cause loss of breath for a short time. Due to the extreme pain induced, many victims describe sensations of electrical jolts after envenomation.

Fatalities from scorpion envenomation in the USA are rare and are limited to small animals (including small pets), small children, the elderly, and adults with compromised immune systems. Extreme reaction to the venom is indicated by numbness, frothing at the mouth, paralysis, and a neuromotor syndrome that may be confused with a seizure and that may make breathing difficult, particularly for small children. Two recorded fatalities have occurred in the state of Arizona since 1968; the number of victims stung each year in Arizona is estimated to be in the thousands. Having family in TX and AZ, scorpions, snakes, and other nasty critters are common. The rule was always: If you walk up to it, and it's already dead, don't touch it bare handed, because you don't know how it died.

I once came across a bug at my dad's shop, and I hit it with wasp & hornet spray, which normally kills something immediately. It curled up and say in the puddle for a couple of minutes. Then, the legs stretched out and it walked out of the puddle. I stomped on it and kicked it down the shop (it rattled on the concrete floor). A couple minutes later, and it started walking again. I had to jump on it to kill it.

Normal day.

Don't take hydrocodone if you've taken regular Tylenol.  Both have acetaminophen in them and that can screw you up pretty badly if you take too much.  I don't know anything about scorpions or the stings they produce, but I've been stung by wasps quite a few times and that sh*t hurts!

Some Benadryl wouldn't hurt you, though.  It's what I take for wasp/bee stings and it works great.  It will knock some people out.  Doesn't bother me.

Also...I just got done reading Diane Duane's latest installment in the Young Wizards series, titled Games Wizards Play.  It was quite a change of pace from a lot of the other books in the series, and I thought it was cool to have that change in tempo for a while.

Not only was the book awesome...it also had the first instance I have literally EVER seen of an asexual being depicted in anything I've ever read, and actually being referred to as such.  I thought that was really cool, and I also hope that for some young science fiction fans, that could be a neat educational moment.


(If you read that series though, get the ebooks for the prior books, specifically the New Millennium editions...it fixes a lot of timeline issues AND one very, very serious characterization/cripplingly-wrong-science problem.)
