Just finished the script to my fan film. While waiting for my production designer to look I think over, am writing another script for a horror short I can film round a friend's flat. Two words: demon clown.
Also toying with the idea for another horror short that will need a bit of visual effects works and be a tad more psychological. Two words: spider clowns.
Off to bed now to dream up some inspiration

A bit of a productive morning... I got a pic of "Ares" printed, and proceeded to buy the absolute worst frame that I have ever owned in my life from the dollar store. After fighting with it for nearly an hour, I finally hung up the bloody picture:  I installed curtains at the bottom of the stairs to separate the basement a bit as well, and did some light landscaping. All before noon. The dog has a vet appointment at 1pm... |

Saw "X-Men: Apocalypse" yesterday. REALLY liked it. I actually skipped out on the other "young X-Men" movies because I was so sure it wasn't going to be my thing, but I think I'll have to watch the others now. My brain is still having a hard time reconciling Fassbender as Magneto for some reason though. It certainly wasn't his performance. He did a GREAT job, but my brain doesn't want to seem to want to "see" him as Magneto. I keep seeing him as Michael Fassbender himself and I don't know why.  |

I saw it as well, last week. I liked it. I'm not terribly "up" on the various arcs in the franchise, but overall it made pretty good sense to me.
What took me a while to come to grips with was that apparently Origins was retconned out by First Class, Days of Future Past, and Apocalypse.
Origins was only retconned out by DOFP. Although Fox has always fudged with the timeline in x-men so much that only the most hardcore of fans can get the timeline and alternate timeline straight. |
