Well, it's a long weekend.  Smiley

For a good portion of the members here, July 4th is fast approaching.  For others it's just a normal weekend.

Today's July 1st though; it's Canada Day here!

Happy Birthday Canada. Smiley

It was actually signed by most of the delegates on August 2. The Continental Congress convened on July 1, and on July 2, they accepted a motion to declare independence. They then spent the next 2 days revising Thomas Jefferson's document, and on July 4, they adopted the Declaration of Independence.

It took nearly an extra month due to the delegates from New York not being authorized to vote for independence until later, and for a clean copy to be created to be signed. Some of the members of the Continental Congress thought August 2 would be the date that would be remembered and go down in history.

It was an addendum to the Three-Fifths Compromise in 1787.

1st of July (Happy Canada Day to every canadians) ... and still no Sun here ...

The existence of the Sun is becoming a legend ... then a myth ... in some taverns, we can heard travelers telling stories about a blue sky with a yellow disk ... but i think it is just a story for frightening kids ... even the most powerful wizard can not make the sky in blue ...

I've heard such odd things as well. Stories of water falling from the sky, filling lakes, ending the almighty drought. Myth though. Even was told of a great warrior named El Nino who was to bring this "rain"...thus, he, nor it, never came. The drought continues in California

Yes, the great warrior you have heard of has indeed been spotted. He once briefly appeared on the Weather Channel, which is the only known video recording of him.
