I've never been to any cons (though I'd love to), but I have met a celebrity out in the wilds before. I met Tom Holland in Hawaii. The only celebrity I've ever met, and honestly, one of the ones I've wanted to meet the most.
I run a group, there's a few cons I pay to go to. Most of the time they ask us to show and give us a table...so it's casual weekend thing for me. I still am thrilled when people say they've heard of us, that includes the Celebs. |

HA, will of the Force eh? Very well played! I highly suggest making it to a convention eventually... especially if you even have a light desire to partake in cosplay. I mean we're all obviously fan enough to clearly enjoy the experience at some point, given the opportunity... And it's worth it even if all you do is go low key and just clip a lightsaber to your belt with some cobbled together setup. Seeing people who go all out, and stormtroopers walking around is epic. Not to mention you're young enough that all them attractive people in costumes isn't a half bad bonus, generally speaking. Venture forth and have a blast, that's my suggestion. Gotta go at least once. If you can manage to convince a friend or 2 to tag along it's too much fun. |

Speaking for myself its all about time and money why I've never gone to a con. Plus I have no friends so there is that..lol.
Unfortunately, this is pretty much the same for me. Not to mention that it is kind of hard to get access to a Con when you live in AK. I want to go to celebration sometime though. |

There are some, but really not many. There is one where I live, but I haven't been able to make it yet (this is the second year they've done it). Being in the same state isn't an automatic guarantee of ability to go unfortunately.
Very true. The vast majority of the Cons in AK are at least 370+ miles from me. It's a long drive for one or two days. |
