It has windows, and a silver A/V switch, but I don't know if there's FOC, because like I said, even with new batteries and the tape removed, it isn't working

If it isn't working you need to contact US because that is a customer service issue. Yes it sucks it arrived not working but considering what the box looks like that may not be US fault at all. But best to discuss it with them. As far as what you got and being disappointed, the point of a mystery box is that it can be anything right off the cost of the box or more. We all know that going in. So if even if it was working you would be disappointed you went in buying the wrong thing. The value has to be over $200 so I'm assuming it either has FOC or a upgraded color. |

I worked out the cost, and it comes in at $199 US - pedantic, I know, but when you get people spending $75 and getting a Diamond Controller V4 sound premium hilt sabre, and you spend $200 and get a basic sound basic hilt sabre (which turns out doesn't work - I removed the tape, bought some new batteries, and nothing), I think I'm entitled to be disappointed.
What's the point of having the 2 different price ranges, if you're just as likely to get a better sabre for $125 less?
Hence: "Mystery Box." For everyone who is getting the "premium" sabers, I guarantee you that many more do not; they either are not forum members or do not post for a variety of reasons. One of the appeals of said Mystery Boxes comes from the probability of getting a saber of higher value. Regardless, you WILL get at least equal of the cost, all factors considered. Don't feel like paying full price? Do what I have done with all my sabers: wait for flash sales, coupons, and raffles. Or you could just purchase the saber that you really want. The technical issues are a matter of concern; I would contact US immediately. From experience, their customer service is exceptional. |

The difference is that $200 guarantees you get sound. They never promised anything more than that. |

Was thinking of getting another one... then I remember all the money I spent this week while I'm trying to save, and I think I'll hold off for a while...really hoping they don't discontinue before I get another chance!

The second $75 box was an Archon v2.1 Stunt Setup, Consular Green, Standard Battery Setup, 32” Midgrade Blade, Normal Pommel, No Quick Disconnects, Silver Non-Illuminated AV Switch ($165 Value) I’m not gonna lie, I squeed when I opened this. Myself, I actually prefer the Archon 2.1 to the 3.1
Respectfully, I like the looks of the 3.1 (especially with activation box mod), although and admittedly I would not use it for heavy dueling  Regardless, both are great looking sabers^^ |
