Yeah, same here. Though, the new Apprentice and Sentinel are sweet looking too. I never got an Apprentice V4, so I may have to get a V5 at some point.  |

I look at them like fire hoses. The "laser" is the water the the emitted field is the hose. When a physical obstruction gets in the way of the field, it's like opening the nozzle on the hose. The energy is released, destroying the obstruction until the field can be reestablished. But when the field comes up against an energy source (say another emitted field) they resist each other. Energy repels energy, that's why a saber can deflect blaster bolts. |

Congrats on the new V5 Aeon, these new hilts look really sweet (I'm eyeing up a Sentinel or Dominix if I'm lucky) Hope you'll post pictures of it when US ship it to you. I love all the new v5 sabers  I was going to get a sentinel le v4 when I am able to put in my next saber order, but now I am going to have to go with the new sentinel le v5 instead. That is just sweet looking! I am going to get it in Violet Amethyst since that is the one color I don't have and I think it will look awesome with that hilt. Ultrasabers just never ceases to amaze me  |

So, I hate to be a stick in the mud, but I have a point to make.
The new Initiate and Aeon v5 line will cost $20 more than the v4 line.
So a v4 with windows and AV switch upgrade would cost the same as a v5 which has them standard.
Obviously you are getting different aesthetics, and US can charge whatever they want, and I'm not saying they are not worth the money.
But you're not actually saving any money on an Aeon or Initiate v5. In a way, making the widows and AV switch standard and then charging $20 more just prices the hilts out of range for someone who might be ok with no windows and a normal switch.
That being said, the apprentice and sentinel v5 line is only $5 more expensive that the v4 line, so you are in fact saving $15 on the windows and AV switch with those.
I'm guessing the difference in price between the Aeon v5 and Sentinel v5 is due to the claws and possibly grenade grip, but that is pure speculation.

I kinda agree on that though, not everyone is a fan of emitter windows but I like the designs for the Sentinel sabers though, just works for that one I think. Maybe some changes will be made by next month of their releases but keep the av switch option standard at least  |
