New Saber: Ultrasabers Flamberge

Hey everyone,  I have a couple questions regarding the flamberge.
Can it be used as an entry for the raffle?
And also if I were to get one I would get a 2 channel emerald driver. I'd want to be able to have a red blade with a pulse/foc silver. So I'm not sure which 2 ch. driver to get. And I'm also confused with the driver connecting to the cross guard blades.
Sorry for such a loaded post, I'm just a total noob with all this.

In order for you to have flash on clash with a 2 channel driver, both emerald channels will have to be used by your main LED.
  This means your side blades would either have to be always on (in a single colour), or in series with one of the colours on your main blade, but either way you would not be able to have the full emerald colour change on the side blades.

 With a 4 channel however, you can assign three channels to your main blade for unlimited colour mixing, the fourth to your side blades (so at least it can dim and brighten, although nothing else), and your switch either in series with one of those or direct drive.

 For your 2-channel with silver FoC, i'd recommend;
2-channel R+S (red and silver)
 side blade channel = the same as the red die on your LED
I presume that would the channel 1, but i'd make sure by asking for it in your order comments.
 I would not recommend direct drive on your side blades, this would mean they were always ignited, not what you're after.

Hmm, having looked at the options with a 2-channel emerald, i'm not certain myself.. Your best bet would probably be to say exactly what you want to ultrasabers direct, and the chances are Emory has a far better idea how it'll work with the extra blades, only US has been lucky enough to get to play with the flamberge after all


 I think you'd be able to get the side blades to ignite and extinguish at the same time as the main blade, but i'd also say you'd definitely need to message ultrasabers one way or another to make certain you can get what you want. Emory tends to reply within a few hours, so i'd waitto hear back from him, if the flamberge is what you really want then it's worth the extra few hours to be sure!

 Flash on Clash silver will look awesome with the red blade too, it's what i intend on getting on my next saber (probably a mantis of some sort)



 Oh, where did you opt for the covertec wheel? I didn't get one, but i was tempted to put it right up on the cross, keep that lovely smooth hilt pristine

I told them to put it near the emitter opposite the activation button. I feel like it would hang better from my belt that way as opposed to putting it near the pommel. Now to see if I can work up the nerve to bring it when I see The Force Awakens

 I already ahve a covertec clip and some spare wheels, so i decided i'd use it once or twice to get the feel of the grip positions, and go from there. Most likely i'll do the same as you, with a saber hilt i like to have it on my right hand side, and i'm right hand dominant. I just lower my hand in the thumbs-up position and hey, saber's drawn. Plus i'm in the uk so finding set screws in US imperial sizes is a pain in the proverbial, this way i can buy a whole bag of the things and be certain i can replace it if it comes loose!

You must take it with you to the premier! People at your theatre will love it and you will feel awesome. Everyome there is there to see Star Wars so jazz it up and have some fun. Be "that guy with the new lightsaber" people will talk about you for days.

Well in that case, I have to put together some sith type costume if I'm gonna go through with it.

 I agree with the costume, there's going to be a run on people buying robes in november december, it's people like us who'll be prepared Also considering getting a stormtrooper breastplate and repainting it, then weathering it, it's my opinion that armour looks awesome some dark robes and a angry looking saber

 I agree with the costume, there's going to be a run on people buying robes in november december, it's people like us who'll be prepared Also considering getting a stormtrooper breastplate and repainting it, then weathering it, it's my opinion that armour looks awesome some dark robes and a angry looking saber

I've been tinkering with the idea of a Mandalorian jacket (shoulders & torso) to be part of my Sith ensemble. But despite the cool factor, I want the outfit to have an authentic SWTOR sense about it.

I've been tinkering with the idea of a Mandalorian jacket (shoulders & torso) to be part of my Sith ensemble. But despite the cool factor, I want the outfit to have an authentic SWTOR sense about it.

 Same here, i plan on painting this breastplate a dark satin grey and then pulling it down the corner of a wall to make some deep but believable scratch lines in it.. after which i intend on putting little bits of self-adhesive aluminium foil into the grooves, which hopefully will work out well. one of the main things for a SWTOR look seems to be the belt, it's a big difference from the films, more like batman's utility belt with some of the armour in game

 I plan on using repurposed and redecorated dirtbike armour under the chestplate, even if it's not amazing looking without some work it'll make sparring a little more comfortable!

If you're looking for sparring gear, I reccommend a Kendo armor set. I can't remember what they call it, but that stuff can take an ass whoopin'.

I've also thought of using dirt bike armor for costuming purposes, considering it's futuristic look. I love my old school bracers, but I would love have a set of Malgus' grieves. There's a seller on Etsy that offers Deadpool boots that you can get in different colors. I think I'll get some silver ones. I've also seen SW leather utility belts on there as well.
