Dear Jeebus that thing is enormous... You could probably take all the blades off, wield it like a war hammer and call it Mjolnir.

Very handsome hilt with commanding pressence though. Another winner for US!

I think it would look cool to stick blade plugs in the sides and just have the red reflective glow coming out.

The Renegade is okay because if you're a Saiyan then you're renegade for life. Lol. But the Flamberge saber will always rule. Would love to see these two in a regular duel deciding that Tongue Would be epic for sure

I'm debating between the Flamberge and the Renegade for a Kylo Ren cosplay, the Flamberge emitters seem closer to the actual saber but I love the Renegade design so I'm torn.
One question I had though is what size do you guys recommend for the main blade? I plan to have 6" on the crossguard and the only other saber I have (MR Vader) has a 34" blade which seems plenty long enough to me.
So I was thinking about going with the 36" but I wonder since the hilt seems pretty huge if the 40" would be better.... but then maybe the saber is just too bulky?

Let your height and the length of your legs be your guide.  With the Flamberge clipped to your belt, how long would the blade have to be to start dragging on the floor?

I would go Renegade for cosplay. The set-screws are more easily accessible, and with a strategically placed "blade pocket" in your cloak, you'd be able to clip the "deactivated" (aka bladeless) hilt to your belt, but still have the blades on hand for photo-ops. Grin

I see that the side led emiters are an option. Does anyone have pictures of it with only the main led, and the side blades? I am curious to see if the led reflects enough foe the blades to light up.

That's a good point though I was planning to have the clip above the activation button. I mean if you clip it blade down with the blade inserted it's going to drag no matter what. Don't most people take the blades off before clipping the saber?

I never thought about that but man I need pockets in my robe! How are the screws more accessible?

I'm 5'6".  With the covertec wheel back by the pommel, I can use either 24" or 30" inch blades without the blade tip dragging the floor.  However, the 36" blade is too long and does drag on the floor.

There are 3 screws on each of the "emitters" on the Flam. Each is easily accessed on the guard emitters, but the main lies below the edge of the guard, so at best only 2 screws are exposed at one time. for storage, I just unscrew the main emitter with the blade still inside.

The 'Gade emitters have significantly more length, and you can see where the screws hit in the website pics. I sewed an 8x3 pocket down by the hem of my robe, and then used a blade to align a 2x3 strip about waist high to hold the blade steady inside my robe. Then just carry a wrench with you. You'll be able to clip-it and free up your hands.
