I've heard amazing things about it from festivals last year, and it's getting a limited release this weekend!

Indeed. There are reports that at TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) last year people passed out at showings of Raw because some scenes were so gross. It's  French film (so expect subtitles) set in a veterinarian school and (apparently) continues the low budget horror film renaissance that as been happening over the past couple of years.

I've heard amazing things about it from festivals last year, and it's getting a limited release this weekend!

Am very jealous that you guys get to see this way before the UK.

I'm currently on my way home after my hardcore three picture cinema watching extravaganza. Gonna fit in a 1 hour power nap, shower and change before heading out to the club to meet my friends (the "true" party people never get to the club before 3am!  )

KONG: SKULL ISLAND is out. Some have seen it, others (like me) haven't, but hopefully what we all have in common is a love (or at least a passing interest) in monster movies. For my pick this week, I'm going with one of my favorite (and one of the most hated) Godzilla movies:

But...but...but...men-in-rubber-suits rolling around on unrealistic looking countryside sets is awesome. Why can't we have more of that? Think of how much money they could save!

Rubber suits definitely have their own charm.

If any kaiju get into these new movies though, I REALLY want to see King Ghidorah. Rodan would be super cool too. I know Mothra is a big opponent of Godzilla's but, aside from their island, the monster itself is kind of boring.

I was going to go today, but as I only got home from a night out at 10am, I decided to get some sleep and rest today and go see the movie tomorrow (plus i've already seen 5 movies at the cinema this weekend, so this one can wait one more day).

On Friday I saw Logan and Split. Yesterday i saw Lego Batman, Hidden Figures and John Wick 2
