Two against one now.  I got my new Bellicose so I'm ready to whoop up on somebody.  Anybody who doesn't like Stones or Zeppelin is asking for it.  Grin

Fine, take a number. I'll deal with you when I'm finished with Nox. Wink

Be warned, I'm lethal.  I took a year of karate 16 years ago.  Tongue

And to keep this music related, I'll have to have my Rocky IV soundtrack on in the background, spurring me on to victory.  Cool

It will be no match for my Sith lightning to the sound of Thunder Struck. Booya

Similarly, I have about a year's worth of Kung Fu from 17 years back, and 2 years of Kendo clubbin' in college.

I would love to see some good saber duels to classic and/or metal. It just seems to fit. None this Duel of the Fates crap.

It would be a fitting tribute.

I keep running that intro duel between Malgus & Vindican vs. Shan and obscure-Zabrak-dude to the tones of "I Stand Alone"...in my head.

It's pretty freakin' epic, I must say.

Also, I learned a "WTF?" about myself because of this song.  Apparently, when I was very young (like 3), "Stairway" was playing and I walked up to my mother, climbed into her lap, and declared, "When I die, I want you to play this at my funeral."   And then I left.

I was a weird kid.   Still am.  Wink

"When I die, I want you to play this at my funeral."

At mine, I've always wanted Amazing Grace on the bag pipes.

No I will not be a cop to achieve that.

Wow!  I can only imagine what you mother must have thought at that moment.  For that matter, I didn't know three year olds even had the concept of death.

Stay weird Nox.  Cool

That's so not even the tip of iceberg with the "weird" crap I said when I was very, very young.   Cheesy

But I don't want a funeral.  I'm donating my body to science (seriously, I have signed the paperwork).  None of that crying, grieving malarkey for me, thanks.  Everyone play really loud rock music and get stupid.  That's my kind of memorial service.

Saber shenanigans in honor of Nox. I can just picture a bunch of old geezers; saber in one hand, cane in the other trying to duel each other.

On the downer note, grief is an unavoidable part of loss. We weep not for the dead, but for those who are left behind on this plane.

I don't see it that way.  My view of death is radically different than most, so I generally don't "grieve."  Never have.  But that's getting waaaaay off topic and into "No-No" territory for this board.

So, music.

There is this band called "The Marvelous 3" that I used to love back in the day.  I recently stumbled across some albums the singer, Butch Walker, had done as a solo effort and man, I am enjoying the crap out of them!  I've missed his quirky musicality.

Nox, I can promise you I won't grieve when you die. I can also promise I won't celebrate. At the rate things are going, my brain will be so screwed I will have absolutely no idea what's even going on.

I want Green Day's "Ha Ha You're Dead" played at my funeral, in which I will be buried nude with an open casket. Just to be totally inappropriate and make everyone as uncomfortable as possible, one last time. I also want 6 New York Jets as my pallbearers, so the Jets can let me down, one last time.

Oh and The Beatles, yuck. Talking about artists we don't get, that's one of mine. The music isn't even that good IMO.

I don't know why, but when you said "left behind on this plane", I couldn't help but think of the Twilight Zone episode with Shatner and the creature on the wing of the plane.   Tongue

When I go, just stick me in a pine box, put me in the ground and call it good.  No sense wasting a bunch of money on me.  I'm gonna be dead so I won't care.

Listened to some Bon Jovi on my lunch break.  I don't care what some people say about his music, I dig it.  Cool
