And my baby all lit up.  I may be a Sith at heart, but no need to advertise it until I shove my blade through your heart.  *Laughs evilly*

That's a good looking saber you have there, DOA

I have a 40” blade on my Flamberge and it’s just perfect!

How's the balance with the 40"?

I promise some Flamberge CE photos once I cut the cross guard down.

I look forward to more pictures of the CE!

Beautiful saber! How does it wield?
I know the opinions vary, so I'm curious.
Haven't seen anyone actually wield one. But may I just haven't searched enough.

I'm also curious how it wields since most have these as shelf queens

'Shelf Queen' that's a nice name/noun.

I'm more of a wield, spin and duel type myself, but shelf queen will be a name that I'll start using in some of my lessons, or at least conversations.  Grin

As am I, I build my sabers that are geared towards spinning and dueling first, cosplay is just a bonus. Smiley Have you ever tried to wield a Graflex or duel with it? Not spin or duel friendly saber to do either with so it's a shelf queen that works well with cosplay

No I haven't and exactly because of the unwieldy thoughts I had about that saber I've never been a real fan of it.
I've always been taught to use 'real' weapons instead of the more popular ones. And in that line of thought I think a hilt such as an Aeon is more real/practical then a Graflex.

Looking at the different dao's and jian I use in Tai Chi Chuan, they're all historically accurate, in size, weight, length etc.
I think they'll teach you more then the light (aluminum or god forbid plastic folding) sabers/swords. Not to mention the safety issues regarding the thin flexible blades and loss of control and balance because of that.

On the other hand I started wielding 'lightsabers' a few months back....., maybe I should reasses my opinions Wink

Same with me, with my military and martial art background, I surround myself with weapons and tools that work and not things that are popular or "look cool"

Ditto.   This is why my favorite saber is an Initiate V3 with an extension, followed very closely by any Aeon/Dominix V2,3, or 4.   :-)

The V4s, V3s, and V2s are definitely my go to as far as spinning, wielding, and dueling sabers are concerned. They're so comfortable and are close to actual sword weight and feel

Awesome sabers everyone Smiley
Decided to couple up my initiates for a two color uneven staff (24" blade and 16" blade). I like the result:

Nice staff!   Asymmetrical staff couplings always draw attention, and this one works well!   Thanks for sharing!  :-)

Yes, you're allowed to say that. That is a very nice weapon indeed!

And I love the combo you've got there Solstice.
