I need to see Atlantis again. NIHM just didn't agree with me. Are you talking about Titan AE? I remember it being good and visually thrilling, but I need to see it again.
Yes, because we were talking about it already, I didn't feel the need to identify further.
Then 99% of the world is WRONG. It's not the best for direct reasons. It's the best because of all the small things that when put together were a perfect whole. That's why when the rumor of a remake rose its vile head, the fan base was in an absolute furor. So much went right in the original release, it would be impossible to recreate let alone surpass.
I 100% agree. While everything in that movie has been executed better in other films, the fact that it was all done the way it was, and fit together so perfectly is really what makes this movie so much superior to any other out there. While the individual parts may not be up to snuff, the whole is absolute perfection.
That is such a loaded question, I just don't know where to begin.
Brave would be my favorite "princess" movie, but Sleeping Beauty would be my favorite "classic princess" movie.
Favorite Pixar: Monsters Inc.
Favorite classic tale: Aladdin
Favorite classic 'twist': Treasure Planet
Brave is probably the most underrated Disney/Pixar film there is. It is so good, but you don't realize it until after you've watched it and didn't care for it that much.
It has been a while since I watched all the Pixar films, so I really can't say which is my favorite. I'd be remiss if I didn't even consider Onward though. Not the best movie, but I loved the relationships and the fantasy aspect.
Classic Tale could quite possibly be Aladdin for me, although The Little Mermaid has always been enjoyable as well (again mostly because it is fantasy).
Favorite twist: Treasure planet is great, but again, I can't hate of Robin Hood.
That was my issue for why I never had any interest in ATLAB. The animation style looked child-oriented. Then when I was "forced" to start it, the animation took a back seat to the epic story being told.
As previously stated: watch Cowboy Bebop, then branch out if you desire. Just don't jump head first into FLCL.

The "child-oriented-ness" of it never bother me. I love animation after all, it was literally just the fact that it was heavily based on traditional anime. The episodes that dipped deeper into that artstyle got me even more. I don't remember the specific episodes that stood out to me like this, but there were a few that I almost had to shut off because of it.
