SPIN WARS EPISODE V: The Spin Strikes Back

So the videos are finally ready. Happy new year all and a special thank you to those who participated. As we had a record number of entries, there were two videos this year: one light and one dark. In addition, I thought this year I might try something a bit extra. This year, there will be a giveaway associated with the Spin Wars. The giveaway is open to all (participants and members of the community) and the winner will get a flat acrylic Katana blade (just the blade and pic at the end of the post).

To enter, you must comment on the youtube page for either of the Spin Wars videos from this year. The comment must include which side of The Spin you determine to be the "winner" this year. You musat also include the name of which spinner from each side you determined to be the MVP. Names are at the end and in this post. A typical entry might look like this:

Dark Side FTW: performer X and performer Y (where X and Y are one light side and one dark side performer you liked best.

The winner will be determined February 1st and I will contact them through youtube for a shipping address. Good luck and happy spinning. And now without further ado.

PART 1: LIGHT

It is an interesting time for flow artists. Although what they do has gained much in credibility over the last 5 years, the resistance to The Spin has driven them to various corners of the internet.

Emerging from their various web forums and groups, a group of light side freedom fighters come together as the year ends to represent and show off some sick new moves.

The Dark side adepts, obsessed with maintaining control of The Spin, have sensed an increase in light side activity. They have emerged from the shadows once more, accompanied by a new generation of apprentices, to bust a move.

Whoa!  Amazing videos for both the Light and Dark side. I can't decide which I like better so I chose both videos.  Congrats everyone and much respect for those that submitted videos and got involved in this years Spin Wars!
